Dr. Sunil Kalla, MD

I have been going to Dr. Kalla for almost 17 years...He keeps me healthy! I am 70 years old, and would never consider seeing anyone else! The only challenge I have is that its impossible to speak to the office via phone! Making appointments or getting questions answered is a very very long waiting time....but no matter how long...its the worth the time, because he is the ONLY one I will go to!

I put my life in this man’s most capable hands. I recently shared new symptoms and he listened carefully, asked questions, and ordered a test. His diagnostic skills were spot on. At my follow up appointment he listened to my concerns regarding medication and we worked together to find a treatment plan that works best for me. I can’t say enough how much I appreciate the level of care he provides and how much I respect his knowledge and experience. I completely trust him.

Do not go to Nevada Cardiology Institute unless you want to get jerked around, hard-- especially if you are a woman under 45. The first time I saw Dr. Kalla I waited for over an hour to talk to him for 5 minutes and all he did was schedule me for future tests ($350 for that 5-minutes). One was a nuclear stress test which involves injection of a radioactive isotope, so they require a pregnancy test the day prior if you are a woman under age 45 which I am. That is fine and makes sense, however women should be trusted to know certain things that pertain to ruling out a pregnancy, like whether they've had sex in the last month, when they had their LMP and so on. So in addition to 4 other office visits, I went to Quest for a pregnancy test, as instructed, the day prior to my appointment and lo and behold the results were not in on time. They blame Quest, but they also told me this happened just yesterday to another patient so obviously their system does not work but do they care about the… convenience of their patients? Nope. See, I was ON MY PERIOD the day of my test, no ambiguity about it, and they would not take my word for it. They don't trust women to be competent or honest enough to know whether or not they are bleeding! Or had sex! After waiting in their office for two hours, they asked me to try again later that day, and that got cancelled too because still no test result. And I had to fast for four hours before every one of these attempted visits so that sucked too. And Dr. Kalla was on board with all of this. They/he deprived me of a medical test I needed just because I am a woman of child-bearing age. Don't waste your time or money with these people-- highly disorganized, highly unprofessional, and they don't trust grown women.

DR IS THOUGHTFUL,EXPLAINS EVERYTHING AND HE DRAWS ON HIS VAST KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE TO OFFER YOU A COMPLETE PICTURE

Impersonal care. Doesn't treat you like an individual, just throws medication at you and walks out the door.

Not only did Dr. Kalla's instincts save my husband's life, but his continued care, knowledge and experience have kept him active and healthy. We have never, ever felt rushed by Dr. Kalla. He truly listens, responds, and takes good notes because he'll follow up on those questions/concerns at the following visit. He is amazing, and wicked smart!

This doc is insensitive and judgemental. Terrible bedside manner. Also he's very overweight! Um, he's a CARDIOLOGIST! I want my heart doctor to live his own advice don't you?! Also, his staff violates privacy law. His front desk person was speaking loudly to anther patient in the waiting area about her health conditions. They are hurried, harsh and unhealthy. Stay away!!!!

Dr. Kalla is one of the best doctors our family has ever been associated with. He is kind, compasionate, caring & conservative in ordering procedures he does not think are absolutyely necessry.I would trust his judgement & would follow his suggestions without any doubts.

Dr. Kala is a life saver he diagnosed my rare lung condition during his evaulation of my shortness of breath and testing for a heart condition.He also is a warm and wonderful person.Thank you Dr. Kalla
