Dr. Sunil Patel, MD, CMQ

I saw Dr. Patel for recommended cancer screening. He was very kind and polite. He answered all my questions, and allowed me the space to feel completely comfortable doing so. He has the ability to connect with his patients. I highly recommend him if you are in need of an oncologist.

Does not return telephone calls - does more testing than required according to other physicians I have been seeing. Medicare billing and marketing appears to be his mantra. When the staff caused a 10" hematoma from bursting my veins for a blood draw he said the excuse they used was incorrect and they should not have caused the hematoma. He is too busy to be relied upon.

Poor listener, he did not answer me when I wanted to know if there were findings that or symptoms that did not fit his diagnosis. The doctor failed to put aside his ego and work with the approach of participatory medicine.

He and his tem did surgery on my neck when no one else would. Fast recovery with no relapse. Surgery was done over 10 years ago.

Dr. Patel provided 9 chemos for me through 2011 and followed up in 3 hospitalizations for complications, including one in my home town where he coordinated by phone with the hospitalist. He is knowledgeable in my history and diagnosistic needs and caring in providing for me. I can't say enough for him and his entire loving staff.
