Dr. Suresh Alankar, MD

My dad required an emergency extra-anatomical aorta bypass. Statistics said 50 percent survive surgery and if they do the average life expectancy is 8 years. That was 18 years ago. My dad does his part with exercise and diet but Alenkar did the surgery that saved his life. I’m forever grateful.

I had to have emergency surgery for a blocked aorta. I was in the hospital for 4 days before any of the doctors could figure out what was wrong with me. I have multiple health issues. The year prior I had a ct scan of my abdomen which by chance it was noted I had a blockage in my aorta Dr. Alankar said it was not bad enough for surgery. He was called in on what was wrong. He had me transferred to Jewish Hospital and I had surgery. He told my family another 24 hours and I would have lost my legs or possibly even died. He is very compassionate and very through.

Dr. Alankar provided diagonis with options and possibile scenerios of surgery. In the beginning I was nervous. Arrived at hospital for surgery (4-5 hrs) , as I turned the corner he was waiting, reassuring, professional, and a sense of calm confidence animated from him. I am so Grateful. During hospital stay, he visited everyday with updates. I am still recovering, and Very Grateful! Thank you Dr. Alankar & staff

I was very impressed with Dr. Alankar and his staff. I did have to wait about 65 minutes from my appointment time to the time I actually saw Dr. Alankar. But my appointment was scheduled for late in the day, and I can understand that there may have been emergencies come up earlier in the day. Besides, the visit was well worth the wait. His staff was very friendly and professional. And Dr. Alankar listened carefully to my symptoms, gave me plenty of time, explained his diagnosis to me, and provided suggestions. He had a great bedside manner. And, yes, he was very easy to understand. I would highly recommend him.

I had to have stents placed in my renal artery and had complications, Dr. Alankar saved my kidney. He has been very responsive to any needs or concerns I have had. I would recommend him to anyone that may require his professionalism. Thank you Dr. Alankar.

After losing 8 pints of blood due to internal bleeding i had 4 heart attacks and spent 3 1/2 months in the hospital and he never could find his mistake after 5 corrective surgery.
