Dr. Suresh N Pathikonda, MD

My three daughters saw Dr. Suresh for most of their childhoods until we had to move out of state. All of my girls grew attached to him. He is a very good and caring doctor and he will make referrals if needed. He does show genuine concern and tries to explain well with drawings etc. for people like me who want more explanation. We have had to see Dr. Maya on occasion and she is also very thorough and knowledgeable. On occasion we were without medical insurance and Dr. Suresh would let us do "cash pay" for a very reasonable price. The wait can be long but I realize it is because they see so many Medicaid and CHIP recipients.

My kids have gone here since 2012 until this year. At first, they were great but lately it's horrible. My son had many, many ear infections & was treated repeatedly with antibiotics. On two occasions I asked for a referral to the ENT only to be denied by Dr. Suresh stating "Medicaid won't cover the referral if I didn't bring him in for every single ear infection, it needs to be reported a certain number of times" -- VERY long story short, the antibiotics he was given repeatedly were for bacterial infections, even after I was told by another doctor that it was FUNGAL, and was making it worse. He laughed in my face when I expressed my concern of how serious his diagnoses of mastoiditis was (from the ER) we've since switch and I urge anyone who's children go here, or if you're thinking of taking your children here to look up the Texas Medical Board Website & view Actions

Dr. Pathikonda is a great doctor. He and his wife are devoted to their profession and the reason it takes so long for a wait is because he will stay with you until you are completely satisfied with understanding what is going on with your child. I have had several problems w/my son once he had to be ambulanced to Driscoll and the day we left the hospital he called to check up on my son, Driscoll never informed him of his stay there. He was very upset and made him an immediate appt. several weeks leading up to the Driscoll he was having symptoms they could not explain and Dr. Pathikonda was concerned, always took time when I came in just for a fever check because his fever would never go away. I know he can be hard to understand but... If you pay attention he is very easy to follow, he will even draw pictures if you look confused. I totally recommend him or his wife to anybody looking for a GOOD doctor.

this is the worst dr i have ever been to, he is rude, harldy speaks english, speaks in broken sentances and talked down to me for the entire time my daughter was a patient with him.DO NOT GO TO THIS DR.
