Suresh Yelika, MD, FACS

Suresh Yelika, MD, FACS, is a board-certified colon and rectal surgeon providing expert, compassionate care for adults ages 18 and older. He is committed to caring for every patient with empathy, clarity and respect. Dr. Yelika is passionate about colorectal surgery because it allows him to address the full spectrum of patient needs — from relieving pain and restoring function to improving quality of life. He specializes in minimally invasive, robotic and laparoscopic techniques designed to support early detection, prevention and long term health. Dr. Yelika earned his medical degree from Sri Devraj Urs Medical College in Karnataka, India. He completed his general surgery residency and his fellowship in colorectal surgery at Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, New York. He is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery.
Dr. Yelika believes that empowering patients with clear information about their condition and …treatment options is essential for achieving the best outcomes. He is dedicated to our mission of Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ by providing evidence based care grounded in the latest advancements and surgical techniques. His goal is not only to treat disease, but to enhance each patient’s whole-person well-being.
In his free time, Dr. Yelika enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching basketball, traveling and playing tennis. He is fluent in English, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Hindi.
