Dr. Surichya Surattanont, MD

Really appreciate Dr Surattanont, she take real time to listen to you ! And she is open to Alternate Medicine.

Dr. Surratanot was the first you wanted to take as much time with me as I needed. I had a lot of questions and she sat there and also ask me a lot of questions to get to the point of everything. I am a complicated patient, with multiple issues. Melanie is a Jem and does the job of 4 people. she's always really positive and always makes me laugh and somehow knows my voice over the phone. That takes talent. I don't know how she does it. She could really use a latte right now!!

I have been a patient of Dr S for over 10 years and I love the office staff and Doc. They have always been available for me with my crazy schedules and needs. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else.

First appointment as a new patient she was very understanding, took her time to get my medical history and explain what she was going to do to me. Next visit I waited almost an hour before I was even seen- just to have a 5 minute conversation that could have been told to me over the phone, but of course that was another payment to the office. I did not get the follow up call for my results, I had to call instead.

The secretary was very nice in scheduling me soon and also with doing my history. She weighed me, took my BP and talked with me about my history for 20 minutes or so. Very nice. Then when the Doctor came in she spent at least 40 minutes with me doing my pap smear, talking with me about my issues, doing lab work, and explaining to me about supplements I could take. All of it made sense. She also agreed with me taking armour thyroid which I have been for 7 years. I got my follow up appt. before I left and also got an email reminder in my e-mail box. She was very professional and I will go back.

This doctor has absolutely no compassion or care for her patients. I literally called crying about a medical issue and spoke to the secretary who refused to put the doctor on the phone. I never received a follow up call from the doctor, even though I have a serious health condition. I absolutely could not believe her disregard for my health!

After determining that my thyroid medication was too high, Dr. cut it in half - all at once. My hair started falling out like crazy. At next appt she asked what issues I was having and I told her my hair was falling out. I sat there and listened to her explain - for 30 minutes - that the hair loss was a heredity issue - although she didn't ask if that was in my family. (She has a receding hair line/loss.) She specifically said, 'Oh, no. Hair loss doesn't come from thyroid issues." That was my first red flag. My own research with pharmacists indicate that thyroid medication should have been tapered off - NOT cut in half at one time. I was stunned that she sat there for 30 minutes talking about hereditary hair loss when that didn't apply to me - and that she didn't know thyroid does affect hair loss! ( She was talking about herself.) And she had a patient in a room waiting for her while she wasted everyone's time.

Dr. has been my primary care for years, also takes care of my 15 year old daughter..Only Dr I have ever had come in on a Saturday to see me because I was so sick with the flu that she wanted to make sure the medicine she had given me earlier in the week was working...I work 45 minutes away and she understands that I do not have a lot of time to wait and she always works around my schedule, office staff is great, Nurse greets me by my name and is always pleasant and professional on the phone. Highly recommend this Dr and this office!

Dr. will not call even if there is a health problem,you have to do the follow-up calls to the office and deal w/ the incompetent secretary who does no follow-up at all. i.e., getting lab results or medical records. i requested my medical requests and never received them. I called 3 months later and complained only then were the medical records copies with in 2 days. Secretary's excuse was that the doctor is too busy and that she does not dictates her notes because she can not afford the expensive device or means of having her notes translated. Also office very unorganized with patients medical records throw to a corner.

After getting several tests done the secretary from Dr. Surattanont called me back to tell me my test results. I asked if she could have the Dr. call me to see what I should do next. She said the Dr. was really busy and she didn't think she would be able to call. I said well it doesn't have to be today but maybe next week. She said, she'll be busy then too. I will never go back to a Dr. that treats their patients like that!
