We went to see Dr. Anderer for a psych evaluation for my seven year old daughter. We spent $5000 on this. The results showed major sensory issues. It was explained that she walks through life completely uncomfortable in her body. We were referred to certain therapists yet they were all unavailable. My daughter’s school then recommended others. Thank goodness they did. We finally got an accurate diagnosis of my daughter. There are zero sensory problems but rather it is OCD. Beyond upset that after a lot of money and time she was misdiagnosed. I’m completely baffled how a two day full psych evaluation can miss this but instead find completely faulty information. It’s not ok to provide parents with inaccurate conclusions on our child steering us in the totally wrong direction. This was supposed to be helpful for our family. Not to mention this information was given to us in an abrupt and short manner. Very little time was spent with us going over the results. I would not recommend Dr.… Anderer as a therapist. In fact I wish we could get our money back.
