I had hip replacement more than one year ago and I was never out of pain despite all the physical therapy I did. Finally had the hip revised at another hospital for loosening and now doing well. She is very nice, but I was still in pain...

My original review for some reason was not showing up. Not sure if I messed it up or it was taken down so I did another one. Just dreadful experience. I had total knee replacement more than one year ago and pain persisted and even worsened over time. My complaints were dismissed and was told that I was "fine" and my "xrays looked good" despite my all my pain. I suffered for over a year, then I finally saw a second opinion with a Brigham and Women's surgeon in Franklin who informed me that my replacement was not done correctly, and it was unstable explaining all the pain! After I had a third opinion who confirmed that the knee needed to be redone, I just had another surgery a few weeks ago by the other surgeon. I already feel better now than I did even a year after Dr. Barret's surgery. I am so angry that I had to suffer one year of pain and my complaints were dismissed by her and her stuff. Look elsewhere

Maybe its covid, but its almost impossible to reach a person in the office. Good luck if you have any questions before or after surgery!

No specific complaints about the doctor but its extremely hard to make an appointment and when you do finally get a hold of someone they are condescending and extremely rude like they are doing me some kind of a favor to answer my call and make an appointment. Dont even get me started on how it is in person. Maybe they were just having a bad week but I am sure there are more professional options out there

To to my doctor at mgh, Dr. Gill! So much for the local doctors! Appreciate theirs education, I sat a kitchen table with 4 studying med school tough! I am not complaining just sick of pain and not cooking!

When I saw Dr. Barrett she spent about 10 min. with me. She demonstrated how the hip replacement would happen. She gave me a demonstration on a model of a knee and proceeded to show how she would bang "dramatically showing the banging action" the piece into the joint or whatever. She wanted to schedule the surgery ASAP. I told her I needed time to think about this.

Dr. Barrett came highly recommended and the hip replacement went very well. I would definitely recommend her, but her schedule fills at least 3 months in advance.

Very informative. Took the time to answer all of my questions. She was aware of all the options I asked about and was able to give me good information upon which to base my decision.

I felt like just another number being called at the deli counter. She was extremely rushed, and spent perhaps ten minutes with me. She didn't bother gathering any kind of past medical information or history which more than likely would have altered her diagnosis and prescribed course of treatment. She was nice, but I felt like she couldn't get through the appointment fast enough.

DR BARRETT'S CARE IS EXEMPLARY! HER DIAGNOSTIC ABILITY IS UNSURPASSED BY NONE. SHE WILL SPEND EXTRA TIME WITH YOU TO HELP YOU TO UNDERSTAND YOUR PROBLEMS, OFTEN TIMES WITH HER OWN PERSONAL DEMONSTRATION! SHE GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND IN MY BOOK!
