Dr. Susan Buratto, MD

In today's broken health system, where a dollar is worth more than human life, there is a true doctor who has not compromised her soul and is 100% for the patient. That is Dr. Susan Buratto. She in humble, human, caring, smart, funny, elegant and rolls up her sleeves. She has a heart and saved my brother's life. She was generous in her spirit to include family members in any discussions. And will answer all questions. Something we have never had in any doctor for my brother. He was misdiagnosed 45 yrs ago and drugged up by doctors who need to total up a head count for the day and did not want to bother to drill down deep to see underlying causes. She did. She read all his medical records going back 10 yrs! Who does that today?? No one. She not only answers your question but goes into infinite detail. She works tirelessly. We understood other psychiatrists were jealous of her natural ease with people and their family. The patients also responded so well to her… rather than Dr. Heidelberger who would not spend more than 5 mins with the patient. Dr. Buratto spent hours talking to them and getting to the bottom of what was wrong. I am a tough critic and, unfortunately, had to learn not to trust any doctor or hospital administrator so it is with great respect and admiration that I write this review. She is not about money (we may have just gotten her fired from her job if the hospital administrators see this) she is about giving and making someone's life better. That would be good enough - but this woman is extremely intelligent knows her stuff and picks up on nuances. She is also Italian and we often thought her passion, beauty and grace go back to this human society that brought us great thinkers and great art. Brava Dr. Buratto. Go Girl don't ever let hospital administrators squelch you. We love you. a patient and sibling.
