Dr. Susan Kim Danto, MD

IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE AND THE LIFE OF YOUR LOVED ONES, DO NOT SEE SUSAN DANTO!!! She doesn't know what she's doing. I tried to explain my symptoms and she kept cutting me off, talking over me, and didn't care what I had to say. She prescribed an extremely low dosage of a medication I've been taking for 13 years and my body went into convulsions. My neuropsychologist said that I'm lucky I didn't wind up in a coma or dead, and she referred me to someone who knows what they're doing. If you value your life and your loved ones, do not see Susan Danto.

Reporting Susan Danto to the board is Physicians, BBB, and the news channel for her mishandling of clients. She has patients come back every month to collect a copay and insurance money prior to refilling the prescription. In my opinion, it’s no different than being a drug dealer.

Myself and my ex husband have been concerned about our son's lack of motivation and tiredness both at home and at school. Teachers have met with us with their concern about his change in attirude. Dr. Danto was very nice when we met her but we don't think shewas really listening to what we had to say.She prescribed adderal to help him with energy but now he has energy but doesn't go to school and is getting in trouble on the streets.We are no longer very trusting of doctorsand not sure where to turn.

As friendly as the staff is, I have found them to be very inefficient!!! The only way you can get anything done in that place is by calling them yourself to speed up the process. I have just started attending this practice and have been very disappointed at the efficiency and lack of motivation to complete their tasks. Dr. Danto is friendly on the surface but I do not appreciate her unwillingness to provide open conversations/communication. She always seems rushed and will always end appointments early "because she is busy that day." You feel like its a transactional relationship when you meet with her, and I do not find that to be comforting.

Dr. Danto is helpful and knowledgable. She has a thorough knowledge of medications, and was very helpful to my family when we needed a diagnosis and treatment for our son. I would feel comfortable recommending her to any parent.

She prescribed prozac on my 16 year old son's first visit. on his follow-up prescribed abilify as an add-on. abilify is an anti-psychotic drug not FDA approved for use in persons under 18 unless diagnosed with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder or aggression related to autism. the Dr. Danto's diagnosis of my son; "depression and anxiety"....NOT manic, NOT severe, NOT EVEN a high level. To make matters worse these medications were prescribed and administered without my knowledge. When I called for an appointment the doctor refused to see me, said she couldn't talk to me without my son present and that if I wanted to see her that I would have to make an appointment as a new patient. AND to top it off all communication was done via the receptionist. She didn't even have the courtesy of getting on the phone. Almost forgot the best part, she had the receptionist tell me "if I don't want "him" to take "it" then just don't give it to "him" EVERYONE in the mental health field should know you… don't just stop antidepressants not to mention anti-psychotics doing so can have severe effects. Last but not least her diagnosis was based on the word of my ex-wife and son only. I had no knowledge of him seeing Danto (another issue entirely) and my input was not solicited. Nothing good to say about this "doctor".

DR. Danto helped me a great deal with depression. With the right medication and referal to a great therapist I feel I have come a long way.

My daughter found Dr. Danto to be most courteous and professional and is grateful for curing a skin disorder that other physicians seemed to find mystifying.
