I had waited (in quite a bit of daily pain) for 3 months for a nerve study. The day of the nerve study turned out to be a chilly day, and I was cold wearing the sleeveless gown for the nerve study. I didn't know until later in the evening (after the nerve study), that a nerve study is not to be done on cold extremities. If a patient has cold hands (and my hands were very cold), then they are to be given hand warmers or are supposed to submerge their hands in warm water to warm up the hands before the nerve conduction tests are done. The woman doing the nerve study knew that I was extremely cold (and even commented on how cold the room was). But she did nothing to attempt to warm up my hands (didn't even let me know that the hands should be warmed up first). Also when I asked her if she needed me to take off my wedding ring, she replied no. So that told me she didn't even test my ring finger on my left hand, even though I had fully explained how badly my hands hurt (as well as the… stinging, burning nerve pain) in my left arm and hand (letting her know that it is my left arm that has the nerve pain, numbness, burning). I explained that bending my left arm brings on the burning numbness and it gets worse the more and the little anger I have to bend my left arm. That should have told her that I most likely have more Ulnar nerve problems. But even though the nerve study study was done on cold hands (and not even all the parts affected by nerve pain) she said that it looks like a mild case of carpal tunnel! The areas of my left arm and my hands most affected are more Ulnar nerve related, not median nerve which is involved in carpal tunnel syndrome. She said she was referring my doctor to have me have a cervical spine MRI (which I don't mind since I do have cervical issues). BUT I didn't even get a follow up appointment to discuss the "results" of the nerve study with Dr. Epner. I wanted a neurologist to treat my nerve problems, not the physician's assistant that is my PCP. I am completely disappointed with the whole nerve study appointment and that my nerve pain is being left to my PCP; not a neurologist as I had wanted. Lastly, on the patient portal it states my weight, height, and temperature. BUT no one had taken my temperature, no one had weighed me, and no one measured my height!. The only thing taken was my blood pressure.

Dr. Epner is so patient & kind to me. I have epilepsy & traumatic brain injury she really cares about me. Dr. Epner always listens to my questions & patiently explains the answer. I adore her & the whole staff everyone is so patient & kind. I highly recommend Dr. Epner & staff

I couldn't have asked for a better Neuro Doc ever. Dr Epner helped me in so many ways I don't know if I could ever thank her enough. I am still on my road to recovery 3 years later, but when I came to her I couldn't hardly walk and now I can just fine. She encouraged my wife and I in our marriage, she referred us to just the right people to help me with my other challenges, and the list goes on. Oh, I loved her bright cheery demeanor and the big smile brought to every encounter. Losing her as my primary neurologist was heartbreaking, but I knew my life was so much better for meeting her. For the few people that left lame negative feedback because you couldn't get through to her, it was because she was so busy with patients. Also, you probably caught her when her admin was pregnant and was doing double duty. If you Ever, EVER have the pleasure of working with Dr Epner you will forever be one of the lucky ones. Do whatever you can to find a way to be a part of the Epner… Club. It's tough to get in, but well worth it!

The receptionist was very nice - and that's where the good things end. The technician who performed one of the nerve tests was beyond rude. He was condescending and sarcastic. Though he was quick. I then went to another exam room and waited an hour for Dr. Epner. This is a very small office and there did not seem to be more than one other patient. Dr. Epner came in, did not apologize for the wait and then muddled through the description and purpose of this second nerve test. She couldn't really articulate what it would test or possibly identify. After the test was over, she didn't really say anything about the results, just that this was a "study" and not a "test" and if I wanted her to consider me as her patient, I could come back as a new patient....what the heck? I was referred to Dr. Epner from my neurosurgeon. I'll be sure to let him know he needs to find another referral.

On my first visit we got lost cause we were given wrong directions not by this office but office of another doctor who knew Dr Epner...we got there a little late but they still saw me. I felt bad cause it threw patients off their testing, I was reassured that there was no problem...Staff real nice, Dr. was Excellent and very informative, and Smart. She has helped me with several problems...

One of the few neurologist who genuinely cares abut her patients, the medical outcomes for patients, their family and is consistently up to date on new medical processes

Had a great experience with the doctor was very Tyrone and took her time with me. Would definitely recommend my friends and family to her. Her staff was friendly and helpful very professional.

I've had 4 appointments with her within the last year. Of the 4 appointments, she has only seen me once. She called and cancelled the other 3 the day of the appointments. I said, "I'll find another Dr."

I have been seeing this doctor for six months and she has not yet begun to address the cause of the condition I was referred for. When she tests my reflexes or visual tracking she never shares the results. Also the wait time is always 1.5 to 2 hours which is total nonsense.

I was referred to Epner for testing. I was in the office 3 hours. One hour in a paper gown freezing on a table. Walking down the hall to see if anyone was still in the office, my husband spotted her and another girl having a snack in the break room. He told her we had waited long enough and we had to leave. I got dressed without ever seeing her. There were only 2 other patients the three hours I was there and they had left. I never saw her, but wasted a whole afternoon. Will have to return to my other specialist for another referral.

Great doctor, spends a lot of time with you, hence the waiting. But it is worth it.
