Dr. Susan Carol Fox, MD

Dr. Fox is my "go to." She is also my wife's internist. We've been with Dr. Fox for 7+ years and thoroughly enjoy her office professionalism, bed-side manner, as well as her compassion . Her full attention is present with each visit. She doesn't rush you out of her office to squeeze in tons of other appointments. She answers your questions - she listens.

Dr. Fox is an excellent internist- I can't recommend her highly enough. She's super intelligent, insightful, ABSOLUTELY no-nonsense, and diagnoses very accurately while providing info on one's next steps/choices. She's very hands-on and is a proactive advocate for her patients' health. Smart, caring, and effective.Sadly, my insurance changed and she doesn't accept my new insurance. I wish that weren't the case.

Some things about why I love Dr. Fox so much that I pay out of pocket (she is not in my insurance plan): When it is time for my appointment, she comes and gets me HERSELF to take me into her office - none of this sitting in a room waiting for 40 minutes, seeing a nurse first and then waiting some more for 5 minutes with a doctor that is the typical medical appointment. The appointments are extremely thorough, she takes more time with a patient than any doctor I've ever seen (or been to with family members even) - an hour, or more - even for a standard checkup. She has ALREADY reviewed my file when I come in. As both an internist and a GYN, and I believe also specialist in women's health, I feel totally confident in her ability. She takes blood pressure herself (who does that anymore?!). She does not push drugs just for the sake of dolling out prescriptions. She will tell you honestly if you do NOT need them, and of course if you do. She is also a lovely and kind woman, with expert… credentials who does not rush through anything. I have seen a great many doctors over the years, and never ever had a physician that actually TALKS and LISTENS for more than 5 minutes at a time. She can almost always squeeze you in if you need care urgently because she is not seeing 50 patients a day. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Fox. I have been seeing her for several years and have chosen to continue with her, long after I changed insurance. This is a very rare medical experience. If you have a question, she will actually CALL YOU and answer it, and tell you if you need to come in or not. From a pure credential standpoint, you don't get better than this either - Ivy League medical school and hospital affiliation. I would have her consult, even if I moved out of state. I completely disagree with the other review! I go to Dr. Fox for both my yearly checkups as well as the occasional laser hair removal. I have found her to be extremely professional and friendly. She always takes the time to answer my questions and address any medical concerns I may have without rushing me. Definitely one of the best doctors I have experienced since living in the city!

Dr Susan Fox is perhaps the most condescending, rude and cold doctor I have ever had the misfortune of meeting.I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR.
