Dr. Susan Denise Hoffman, MD

I was in ICU and they had given up on me and we’re preparing me for ventilator and coma, Dr Hoffman changed the protocol they were using and added several high dose vitamins.... within hours i turned around. I am here because she didn’t give up on me and stayed on the team in ICU!

I went to the doctor's office for my annual physical exam, I ended up being charged for two visits, one for wellness , another one for diagnostic, just because she asked about my headache in the past.

Dr. Hoffman looks like she's on her way out the door when she stops into your room. She pushes vitamins that line the waiting room, which are insanely expensive. She wants you to come in for a check up EVERY 3 MONTHS, which is unheard of, just to get YOUR copay. She withholds medication if you do not come in at the 3 month mark and does not tell you that she denied your refill. Or if you don't go for blood work during the midst of Coronavirus, you may be marked as non compliant. This money hungry doctor, who is also very out of touch with modern medicine, and her crony front desk staff are the most judgemental, rude, and out of touch people I have ever dealt with. I have worked in health care for over 10 years and have never experienced anything like this. DO NOT GO HERE! There are plenty of good doctors in the KOP area. Don't waste your time or money. You'll regret it. I assure you.

Great doctor that actually goes into detail and cares about your wellness. Would recommend her to anyone.

This provider is incompetent and her service is subpar. If your insurance requires you to have a Primary care practitioner, then i highly suggest for you to RUN. Don’t make the mistake of enrolling with this practice. Below average doctor, terrible office staff and customer service, and disrespectful and racist office manager Brandon. Her office manager Brandon is unprofessional and have no respect for patience. My incident happened when i was 8 month pregnant. My insurance requires that my primary care doctor provide me with referral to see any specialist, i missed an appointment because i fainted and was unable to drive myself, then i called the day of my rescheduled appointment, and called to see if i can reschedule it. The receptionist was rescheduling my appointment when the office manager Brandon, came on the line and cancelled it. He then told me to disregard what the receptionist said in regards to all the available appointments and he said “we don’t have any… appointments for another month and half”. Knowing well that I needed to be seen by a doctor and then need a referral ASAP. I can’t afford care without coverage, so i stayed home waiting... i had an health incident the same week due to lack of care and was hospitalized. This office denied me care because I missed an appointment (which by the way they billed me for cancellation and I paid in full). I spoke to the office manager Brandon, he was extremely offensive and did not acknowledge my concerns or offer an apology at all. He instead changed his side of story at least twice on the phone to justify his actions.

Right wing fanatic, worst doctor ever.

Very biased, she seems nice but she doesn't really listen and pushes her products a lot. Get stance on vitamins, which she happens to sell, is extreme. She doesn't have accessible office hours and doesn't approve prescription refills without regular appointments to check vitals, which costs, even after being on the same meds for months. She isn't the most professional, but really she's not considerate or genuine.

Dr Hoffman is an excellent doctor. She is very thorough, and knowledgeable, staying up to date on all medical changes or advancements. Yes I do allow for plenty of time when I make an appointment, but I would gladly exchange some extra time waiting for continued good health. She is willing to sit and talk as long as it takes to make sure all concerns are met. That is much better than rushing you out the door after fifteen minutes. As I said she is very thorough, looking after my total well being, she will often recommend a specialist if she thinks it is necessary, and all her recommendations have been good ones. So if your willing to spend the time on good health, Dr. Hoffman is the best. Oh yes and her staff is great too, very friendly and helpful

The last review I read are so wrong. If you want a doctor who has you in and out with no information she is not for you. I have been seeing her for more than 10 years and have never been to a doctor who is so thorough. Her diagnostic skills are excellent.Yes,she sends me to specialists as any one should know that a family doctor is not a specialist an all areas. As a result I am confident that all areas of my health and preventive issues are fine. To bad for those who don't want to take the time to be sure all is well with your health. I would rather take the time and wait a bit for quality care that just say I went to a doctor. She saved my husbands life by getting back to us immediately. She doesn't putt any punches and is extremely thorough , reviewing medical history. Her staff is professional and always follows through. She is cautious regarding medication. What a shame commenting on her attire. I question how that affects her diagnostic skills which is why I will continue to see… her. I suggest you be the first appointment of the day. Good luck with the 15 minute doctor visit. I question , how much does that doctor really know about you. Keep with your Walmart or Sam's cub doctor.
