She and her staff took all precautions to keep me safe. Listened to my concerns, and helped me with my course of action

She was the physician I saw at an Immediate Care facility at AMITA Hanover Park. I had gone in for a lesion that I recognized for a condition I had had previously, and went to immediate care to quickly get a prescription when I could not get an appointment with my PCP. Before even examining me she asked if I had any allergies, and one of mine is topical anesthetic. She made a face and asked who had told me that because no one is allergic to that. I stated that my throat had swollen shut after my dentist had used it, so therefore I knew my reaction. She then proceeded to examine the lesion, and I stated that I knew what it was, had a history of this, and simply needed a prescription. She told me I was wrong, that I had simply cut myself shaving. Her advice was to take Advil. I then told her I could not take NSAIDs due to a stomach surgery I have had, and she again scoffed and said she had never heard of that. In fact, in addition to what is on my chart, I wear a Medical Alert… bracelet and carry a wallet card from my surgeon warning not to treat me with NSAIDs. I told her I could only take a Tylenol and she said “That won’t do anything.” I again told her I knew what condition I had and without a doubt knew the symptoms I was experiencing. She finally agreed to do a culture of the lesion, but said more than once “that is not what it is, but I’ll do the test anyway.” She then sent me off with a diagnosis of a cut while shaving and a prescription for antibiotics, which I never filled. The condition cleared up in a few days, albeit much more slowly without medication. I followed up with my PCP, who wrote me a my requested prescription without question. On my way home from my PCP’s office, I received a call from the Immediate Care nurse telling me, to no surprise, that my culture had come back positive for the condition I had mentioned several times. I’m thankful I did not have anything more serious.

She has no knowledge, led to my abortion at 8 weeks pregnancy, rill then I have had 2 apoibtmenrs with her and she did not do any testing, no basic labs, ultrasound not even a baseline Bhcg. At the time if miscarriage she asked me to go to er, I went there twice and then she came and did nothing. After that she didn't even follow up my bhcg to see if it's returning to baseline nor did any ultrasound after miscarriage to see any retained products. Please don't go to her if you care about your baby
