Dr. Susan Marshall, MD

Seriously the worst doctor I have ever been to. Left me waiting for an hour, spent under 5 min with me with I got in, forgot to give me test results, then forgot to call in prescription to pharmacy. I was left frantic calling her office for 1.5 weeks with no call back. She clearly doesn't understand what the word URGENT means and has zero interest in her patient. She's an "academic" doctor and would be best suited for a research lab instead of dealing with patients. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED.

I'm SO sorry I didn't read these reviews of Dr. Susan Marshall before seeing her 2x. What a mistake it was going to her. She's clearly an "academic" doctor and that's it. She is not interested in dealing with her patients at all. I decided to give her a second try after my fist visit in case she was having an "off" day but now I am certain she's a terrible doctor and I feel the public needs to be warned about her. At the end of my first visit, I found myself asking what the next steps were and what the course of action was. She didn't provide any on her own. I had to make all of the suggestions which left me dumbfounded. She was short and dismissive and didn't have any helpful solutions. She has zero understanding of the word "urgent" and rarely returns calls. I was told she herself would be contacting me with test results. I kept checking the Mount Sinai "mychart" website and of course she didn't post my results and I had to call her every day for 1.5 weeks before finally getting a… call back with those results. When I discussed this with her during my next visit, her response was that she works out of many offices and doesn't always get her messages. That is ridiculous! I called every single day and told the operator that it was URGENT! Then after my second visit, she told me to take a medicine that she would call into my pharmacy. Of course she didn't and so I was left calling her office like a mad woman every hour. Every person in her office knew that I was trying to reach her. This was a Friday and she walked out as soon as her last patient left and didn't bother to call in my needed meds. I was frantic. I had to have the on-call late night doctor do it. I told her office I wanted my patient file sent to me immediately because I would not be coming back. NEVER AGAIN!!!! Do not waste your time seeing this doctor. She's HORRIBLE! She's by far the worst doctor I have EVER seen. She should not be in a practice and should be working in a lab instead where she doesn't have to deal with people.

It took me six phone calls and three weeks of chasing down office assistants and receptionists to book two appointments for which there was not availability for at least three months in advance. When the appointments came, both were canceled the week of (one the day before). Incredibly unprofessional and completely ridiculous. Would recommend avoiding.

She is simply horrible and really a callous doctor. She is never on time for her appointments. I had to wait over an hour for my biopsy and two hours to learn its results. Can you imagine what I was feeling??? Luckily, the results weren't cancerous. I then waited at my next appointment (9 AM) for an hour to learn that she had not yet arrived in the office. This was for a blood test that she never even entered into my record. I asked the nurse to draw my blood based on my explanation for the purpose of my visit. I got the impression the nurse knew only too well that this frequently happens with Dr. Marshall. Afterwards, I made a formal complaint with the office manager. I never received the results of my blood test until I emailed her. She replied with the results with NO explanation. I emailed her twice for her suggestions and comments to which she never replied. Obviously, she was spoken to by the office manager. I now have a new urologist who told me he has many former patients of… Dr. Susan Marshall and they had very similar experiences. Hearing that, confirmed everything I thought about her. AVOID HER AT ALL COST!!!!!!!

Very frustrating trying to deal with this doctor. She was suppose to call a prescription in to my mother's pharmacy but it was never sent despite the numerous phone calls to office and multiple messages left. Her office apologized for lack of response but the prescription was NEVER sent and my mother now must try and find another urologist who cares about their patients because clearly Dr Marshall does NOT.
