I don't think she really cares anymore. Her attitude is bad and acts like she hates her job. As much pain as I am in every day I think she is more depressed than I am.

Do you want a narcissistic, egotistical doctor who is so high on her belief system and authority that she can’t listen to your concerns? Then you’ve come to the right place. If you want a doctor to make unilateral decisions because she assumes her superiority to your obvious ignorance then bullies you into decisions, instead of establishing a physician-patient partnership then Susan Mathew is the right choice. She enjoys cutting you off while you speak, minimizing your issues, and saying, “Does it matter? The treatment is the same,” showing she’s done her job when in fact she hasn’t done her due diligence to provide standard of care. Her God-complex creates a blind spot so large she’s trapped in a web of medical negligence. Her staff is just as rude, condescending, and difficult if you call in and request anything from them if they even answer the phone. Oh, and her office isn’t open on Fridays, 2 hours during lunch, afternoons after 3, and before 9 am. Thriving practice, clearly.

Four of my other doctors are a part of Hill Croft Medical Group, so when I needed a rheumatologist I thought I would see Dr. Mathews since her reviews were so good. Unfortunately, I did not have the same experience as others. Upon arriving at my appointment I checked in and was told that I had to fill out the same exact paperwork that I had already filled out. Mind you at Hill Croft there is a central data base that every doctor can see which has all your medical information. Due to issues with my hands it's difficult for me to fill out all the paperwork. I expressed to the young woman (somewhat irritably, but not yelling) that it was ridiculous to constantly have to fill out the same paperwork by hand and that putting it online would be appreciated. Upon being called back by the tech (who was wonderful) I had the usual vitals taken and once done proceeded to wait for the doctor. After a few minutes, she entered and took her seat. No "Hi, My name is Dr. Mathew." No pulling my record up… or looking at the appointment sheet to see why I was there. Instead, she looks at me and says "Why are you here?" I explained to her that I have Fibromyalgia, as well as, arthritis in my hands, feet, and hips. She looks at me and says "What do you want me to give you?" I couldn't believe what I was hearing. No, "How long have you had these conditions?" "What symptoms do you experience and how often?" Nothing. I told her I wasn't the doctor and it wasn't my job to tell her what to give me. After we exchanged a few more words, I decided I'd had enough and was leaving. Before I left I told her exactly why I was leaving and she gave me a couple of ridiculous excuses.
