Dr. Susan Carol Newhouse, MD

I went to her back in 2013 for about a year only because I didn't have the best insurance. I should have switched to someone else but didn't think too much about it at the time. My impression of her is she will only respect you if you are thin, otherwise she is cold, rude and insulting. Gynecologists are hard to come by in general so she is adding to the bad stigma. Would avoid and look elsewhere.

I have been a patient of Dr. Newhouse for approximately 20 years and have nothing but good things to say about her. She delivered one of my kids via Caesarean section and her surgical skills are excellent. She also treated me for a rare pregnancy condition and was caring throughout the long process.

I wouldn't write a bad review if there wasn't a good enough reason. She made my first PAP appt the most humiliating, awful, dreadful experience of my life. It took me 4 years to go back to a GYN and it amazes me the difference in care I received at my new one. I truly believe she shouldn't be allowed to work in this field.

I had an appt w Dr. Newhouse and brought my 5yr old daugther was there with me, and towards the end of the appt, she tried showing me something on m phone. I told her 2 times to wait a minute, at which point the she decides to grab my child by the arm, turn her around to face her, and scolds her. I complained to the Clinical Supervisor after it happened and have since filed a formal complaint. The Medical Manager and Director have done NOTHING to help me and said Dr. Newhouse thought it was "inappropriate" to apologize to my daughter. Needless to say I will NEVER return. The office handled it so poorly and did nothing to help me out. If they want a Dr. like that working there, I want nothing to do with them.

I went to see her for the first time today and will not go back. I felt as if she thought I was ridiculous for being there, and like she wanted to get me out as fast as possible. Yes, it is incredibly important for a doctor to know their stuff. But even more important can be their bedside manner - I shut down as soon as I came into contact with her and wasn't able to process anything she was saying. Anna Jacques can do better.

Cold and disinterested. I would not recommend. Not a good experience.
