Dr. Susan Renay Pittman, MD

Upon moving to the area Dr Pittman was recommended and during Navy visit found a medical condition which were required a minor surgery which may have potentially saved my life. I highly recommend her for her expertise, knowledge and professionalism.

First off, I rarely ever leave bad reviews but I thought this was necessary. I’ve been going to Harrisburg Family Physicians for almost 30 years! But my two normal doctors weren’t able to see me so I tried Dr Pittman...and I’ve never been disappointed with a doctor in that office but she was very timid and seemed to want to go back to previous notes to diagnose me when it was a new issue. I didn’t feel confident in her knowledge when I left. I would choose Dr McMillan it Dr Woosley instead if you need to see a doctor(unless you already know what’s wrong).

Front Desk Staff calls out personal information so that everyone in waiting room can hear it. Nurse Tina is rude and probably not certified. Dr Pittman doesn't take time to find out what is wrong sends you to a specialist.

The Dr I had been seeing at this practice left & I was scheduled w/Dr. Pittman. What a blessing!! I went in with a complicated issue, she promptly followed up with me after every test that was ordered. Great physician!!

Dr. Pittman is a nice lady but I find that I typically have to diagnose myself and then tell her what I think is going on. She also sometimes seems reluctant to refer to specialists on illnesses that might be better treated by someone who is specialized (rather than a general family doctor.) She will spend time talking to you and will listen to your concerns but her knowledge is sometimes scarce.
