Dr. Susan Raghavan, MD

I am 27 years old now and a type 1 diabetic. I saw her because I was struggling with my disease when I was 15. Instead of actually caring for me she dismissed the fact I was dealing with an eating disorder. Her level of care included in yelling at me, telling me I was going to die young, and then kicked me out of her practice for her to protect her liability. If she was only to look deeper and actually care she would’ve seen I was a young girl who was battling a mental health disorder but instead made me feel shamed which didn’t help me. Thank god I was able to find better care and have such a supporting family.

As a child I had thyroid issues and she helped me heal. By not just taking out my thyroid right away like most doctors she healed it. I have been doing well and thanks to help patience and listening we were able to do heal my thyroid which is not something that happens often. She is a great doctor I wish I could still see her, but I am not I'll anymore and also I am too old now.

Office staff is terrible. They don’t actually care about your health, just about the business.

After reading reviews about her I was skeptical but not one bad review was true this doctor is very friendly and very throughl and cares about her patients. She educated me very well on the issue we are dealing with right now and highly reccomend her. She made me feel so much better leaving her office and showed she really does care for her patients. Dont believe what you read this lady rested my worries and helped me understand what's going on in my child and showed me she was going to take care of my child and support me along the way. Awsome doctor

My daughter was seen in this office for a few years. When Dr. Raghavan stated that my daughter needed her thyroid removed I agreed to proceed after she had a 2nd opinion. She said that when my daughter's medical records were sent out for a 2nd opinion appt her office would no longer see her. I was appalled that at her office you cannot ask for a 2nd opinion with out being kicked out. I am a nurse myself and have not heard of a doctor doing that before.

My daughter is receiving excellent care from this practice.

My son needed growth hormone shots due to a growth hormone deficiency. I was no longer able to afford the expensive medication due to a change in insurance. She gave me a list of charities to call to help pay for the expenses. Although I did call each one, I was not able to receive help from any of them. Dr. Raghavan implied that I did not try hard enough. I felt she believed it was my fault he was not getting any medication because I didn't prioritize the situation. This was definitely not the way felt. Another time I set a follow-up appointment at the time of check-out six months in advance, but accidentally forgot to mark it on my calendar. I received a phone call by an upset receptionist wanting to know why I had not showed up. I apologized and told her I had forgotten. Thinking back on it I recall that most doctors' offices will call the day before to remind you of an appointment, especially if it has been made that far in advance. For these and other reasons I chose not to see… Dr. Raghavan any more

I felt Dr. Raghavan did a great job diagnosing my child's condition. I just wish I could have gotten more helpful information for home -- websites on recipes, what to give my child to rebuild when their body is depleted after competing in sports. I was very frustrated to not get answers for those concerns and still am trying to figure out what to do 8 months later.

Office staff including nurses are excellent. We are happy that our time exposed to this Dr. has been limited. Knowledgeable, but not a real people person.

Her staff compliments her well. They keep the appointment moving each taking their piece of time and I have never felt rushed or ignored. She is straight speaking. She will tell you the worst and the best.
