Dr. Susan Elizabeth Slater, MD

Been going to this office for 20+ years when Dr. Slater took over. Should have known something was wrong when all the staff left her. New staff was not so friendly or professional in any way. Each appointment I had waited for over an hour in the waiting room and longer in the patient room. Yes she is friendly and open to talk to but that’s not all you want in a Dr. Recently got notification from my insurance not her that she no longer takes them, oh well it was time for me to move on.

Dr. Slater is very professional and friendly and takes the time necessary to find out your history and concerns in order to provide you with the best healthcare recommendations. She clearly has the patient's personal interest and health at the center of her concern and involves you in the decision-making process. You will have a very good idea of what is being tested and why and what prescriptions or suggestions are best and why. And she respects your decision to forego a routine test if it is not your concern. Not at all pushy. There is no question that you have her full attention as long as you need it in order to figure out your health challenge and how to deal with it.

Love this new doctor's office in Ventura. Dr. Slater was very knowledgeable, listened to my concerns, and was open to both traditional and alternative treatments. Staff are nice too!
