Susan Taylor, MD

Dr. Taylor is a renowned dermatologist. This is the reason I initially scheduled an appointment. Her staff is very professional. However the doctor rushed through the 6-minute appointment. I was informed that I could ask 3 questions. She immediately wrote multiple prescriptions. The medications caused edema in my foot for several days and I was unable to wear a shoe. After the debacle with the medication, I developed horrible allergies for the 1st time in my life. I was totally shocked by her manner and discussed it with a friend. My friend had a similar experience. Dr. Taylor is very curt and dismissive. I would NEVER recommend her! I found another female dermatologist in the Maryland suburbs who is excellent. The drive is 2+ hours but definitely worth it!

Would recommend to all whom are having any issues with skiin or health issue that has not been diagnosed.

It took some time to get an appointment even though I am a patient. Every now and than I have a flair up of my eczema. When I first went there a few years ago I saw her with her Physician's assistant. After that I only saw the physician's assistant which was fine with me. She was very knowledgeable. Later on I saw Dr. Taylor, I assumed the PA had left. Well, the wait in the waiting room was longer than I spent with Dr. Taylor. It was a whirlwind visit, nothing discussed, just looked at my skin, wrote a script and that was it. I did notice a sign in the treatment room that only a couple of questions can be asked at a visit. Her bedside manner is poor. Bottom line, I was not thrilled.

She is an EXCELLENT dermatologist! I have never been to her for the same thing twice! Her bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired, but thatâ??s fine with me. I need her expertise more than her manner, it would be nice to have them both. But if I had to xhoose between the two expertise wins by a long shot. Sometimes there is a little wait, but once you are in a room, she will â??treat youâ?? then â??street you.â?? In other words she will have you in and out. I have never had a visit with her that last more than 10-15 minutes.

Unfortunately, Dr. Taylor's t.v. image is nothing like her office image. Like others, I spent an hour waiting to be seen for a bump on the side of my face that I'd notice was continuing to grow. I am Africa American and because she is known for teating skin of color I figured I would see Dr. Taylor. She was in and out barely looking at my face or taking time to listen to my concerns. She just said leave it alone. Turns out, after going to a doctor down the street at Thomas Jefferson University Derm, I needed surgery. Had I left it alone it would have continued to grow. I think Dr. Taylor may be better at making TV appearances for cosmetics like creams, lotions etc., than diagnosing serious and complicated issues of the skin and that is in my opinion what she needs to stick to doing.

I have been a patient of Dr. Taylor for years! She is very professional, informative and patient. Her office staff are also very professional...some of whom have been with her for quite some time which speaks volumes

Dr. Taylor was friendly and professional and had a sense of humor. Staff were excellent.

I went to Dr. Taylor for hair loss. I had been dealing with this for several months. She was AWESOME...Sympathetic, knowledgeable and she was able to help me! I have read some of the "not so nice" reviews and I can only say my experience was nothing but positive! Thanks to Dr. Taylor for helping me through a difficult time! I encourage others to definitely go an see her!
