Dr. Susan Michelle Zimmerman, MD

My husband had severe symptoms that were stroke like. After an ER visit he was referred to Dr. Zimmerman for followup. His test results came back with positive markers in his blood for a rare auto immune disease, which also matched his symptoms he was still having. In the visit she dismissed the blood work and said he just has depression. When we went to a specialist for second opinion, she sent a letter to the specialist, saying she didnt know why we were going through all of this when she diagnosed him with depression only. She had the blood work redone and it came back positive a 2nd time. And she still diagnosed depression only. We wont be going back.

TERRIBLE! And no compassion. Unable to make it to my MONDAY appointment due to a true emergency, called the moment their office opened to apologize and a couple days later I get a certified letter saying she will no longer see me as a patient AND charging me a $30 no-show fee. I could understand charging a fee if I didn't call or have a valid reason but I did. She is not a nice person in any sense of the word and obviously has no compassion. I do not recommend her. Plus, it is extremely difficult to get ahold of anyone in her office. Don't go here!!

Dr. Susan Zimmerman is extremely knowledgeable, efficient and prompt, genuinely cares about your challenges, communicates well, and clarifies her answers. I give her an A grade! .

Really, really liked her and her treatment was very calming.

I unfortunately have seen her on a couple of times and am surprised at these awards. She is combative when confronted by a patient who really has knowledge about her own medical information. She brought me to tears and it was only after that that she was humbled enough to realize that maybe a patient might know some things about themselves besides just medical facts.

The only issue I have is that she is in such high demand that it is a 2 month waiting list for just a follow up.

Dr. Zimmerman was efficient, thorough and kind. She doesn't mess around. She gets in, does her job and seems very on top of things. I liked her.

Dr. Zimmerman asks several times if I have any more questions. She always explains things very well. She follows through with everything immediately: prescriptions, tests, test results....she has even called me on the phone herself at times. Her assistant is excellent too. She quickly gave me a correct diagnosis after I had been to 10 other doctors who could not diagnose my problems. Then she patiently worked with me to find the proper medicines that have helped me. I really appreciate her skill and professionalism.

She was abrupt. Seemed to have her mind made up before my exam. She ever looked me in the face and was continually writing. I told her I was having eye and face spasms. At the end of the end of the appt. she said she never saw any such spasms. Which she wouldnt since she never looked me in my face. Was a waste of both of our time.

Great - attentive - very efficient - professional - explained well - personable also. I would recommend this neurologist to all of my friends and family
