Concerns Regarding the Care Provided by Dr. Syed Arshad, MD I am writing this review to share my personal experience under the care of Dr. Syed Arshad, MD, at Village Medical. My intention is to provide a clear and factual account of the challenges I faced in receiving appropriate medical attention for a serious health concern. Missed Opportunities to Address Urgent Symptoms I sought care from Dr. Arshad for a troubling case of partial facial paralysis, a symptom that typically warrants prompt evaluation and intervention. Over the course of two office visits within seven days, I repeatedly expressed my concerns about my condition, which included detailed explanations of my family history of brain cancer and heart failure in both parents. Despite my efforts to communicate the urgency of my situation, no neurological examinations were conducted, nor was a referral to a neurologist provided during this critical time. This was particularly concerning given the potential implications of… facial paralysis, which can signal underlying neurological or systemic issues requiring immediate attention. Delayed Referral and Lack of Initiative Over the course of multiple in-person visits, phone messages, and communications via the patient portal, I had to repeatedly request a referral to a neurologist. It ultimately took over a month for this referral to be issued, which delayed access to potentially life-saving care. This delay created unnecessary stress and left me feeling unsupported during an already difficult time. In addition, I had to request lab work multiple times before it was eventually ordered. This lack of initiative left me questioning the thoroughness and attentiveness of my care. My physical therapist was surprised to learn that no labs or neurological tests had been ordered, particularly given the severity of my symptoms. Challenges with Communication During my interactions with Dr. Arshad, I felt that my concerns were not fully acknowledged or prioritized. Despite spending significant time during my appointments explaining my symptoms and fears, I did not feel that my worries were met with the urgency they required. Effective communication and a collaborative approach are essential in medical care, and I believe there was room for significant improvement in this area. A Difficult Experience At one point, my husband felt the need to advocate on my behalf due to our growing concerns over the lack of responsiveness to my messages and the delay in treatment. Unfortunately, this interaction resulted in tension, and I felt that my care was further compromised. Ultimately, I decided to transfer my care to a new physician who has been proactive in addressing my medical needs. Current Status and Moving Forward Since transferring to another doctor, I have seen a marked improvement in the quality of my care. My new physician has already taken steps to address my symptoms and has prioritized the necessary evaluations that were previously delayed. This has reinforced my belief that my symptoms deserved greater attention from the outset. Final Thoughts While I recognize that no medical provider is perfect, my experience with Dr. Arshad raised significant concerns about his approach to patient care. I believe that there were missed opportunities to provide timely and thorough evaluations for a condition that warranted urgency. This review is intended to encourage others to advocate for themselves and seek care from providers who actively listen, communicate effectively, and prioritize patient well-being.

He is the best , his associates are amazing today I am so happy to meet them everything is very clean they care a lot about the single thing

Biased, uncooperative, does not follow industry protocol. Seems to be unaware of his patients status/identity. Doesn't fully understand the context of patients email messages. Requires monthly appointments to simply refill a 30-day supply of meds.

Dr syed is awesome and so is his nurse Zeb, my experience with dealing with them was great, both the medical assistants were professional and courteous, showed knowledge in what they were doing. Now the front desk lady was very unprofessional and rude, interrupted conversations that patient was having with the male nurse, seemed like she had an attitude, and made an excuse of getting a headache, indirectly insinuating at the conversation was annoying her, but other than that the clinic and other staff were appropriate, besides Tammy which needs medical practice training since she just doesn't understand that its the patients that keep her with a job.

he is primary physician for my parent at Park Manor Rehabilitation & Nursing Home; my current comment concerns communication with family members of elderly parent: pretty much does not; have talked to him only on phone 1 time; never in person. Must talk to his P.A. I had to ask nurse in hospital just to get full name and phone #.
