Dr. Sylvain Sidi, MD

Terrible!

He was very rude, condescending and biased. He was of no help and was unprepared. Do not see this man under no circumstances. He has absolutely no bedside manner and will judge you and assume your lifestyle. Read all his reviews and heed their warnings.

I had been vomiting everyday about 4-5 times a day for 3 months before I finally found him. However, when going in, he immediately started pointing things out like IBS, PCOS (which I DO NOT HAVE) and took my kidney pain as "menstrual cramps". He then started pressing on my stomach and I was wincing in pain. He dramatically stepped back and said, "Really, can I examine you or not?" I felt so uncomfortable during the whole visit. I also pointed out that my father passed away from colon cancer at an extremely early age yet he refused to preform a colonoscopy due to my age even though all of my doctors said I need one starting at age 20. His bedside manner was very poor, but I was desperate at this point. I followed through with an endoscopy, which during the procedure he tried (and succeeded) to shove the camera down my throat when I was still awake. The anesthesiologist had to tell him to stop multiple times... Finally, after the procedure, he never discussed my results and I had to… find out from another doctor that I had an esophageal disorder and a couple other things. I would highly recommend to stay away.

I came in to visit Dr. Sidi on recommendation from Tucson Medical Center after experiencing persistent abdominal pain. After answering a couple demographical questions Dr. Sidi proceeded to tell me that I need to have a goal in my life and that that would make me feel better about myself. He said I should live a life that isn't centered around making enough money to smoke pot (I have a medical marijuana card) given no knowledge about the nature of my work or my salary. Afterwards he told me that THC is an opiate, clearly not within the scope of his practice. He also said that I am bipolar, which I already have a proper diagnosis for, saying that it is no big deal and that many people manage with this problem, again way out of the scope of his practice. He told me that the best thing that I could do with my life is go to Pima County Community College and learn a trade, I have never been more humiliated in my life since I am currently pursuing a Master's of Science. At the end of… the visit he said that he will "reluctantly" order me a test. Good at his practice and needs to stick to this practice without trying to assume other roles.

Dr. Sidi is a God Send doctor whoE xceeds all expectations with promoting quality of life. My wife and I could not be more satisfied with the care we received from Dr. SIDI. We are so grateful for his knowledge and experience.

Dr. Sidi is wonderful. He is a caring person as well as and outstanding doctor! He has helped me several times the past year. He is caring and spends time with me. He explains my condition and his treatment protocol is excellent! I recommend him highly!!

This is a review you would never expect to read in the gastroenterology section. I saw Dr Sidi today, and like most physician visits over the past 13 yrs, my blood pressure was off the charts. Note: I have low BP, except when I walk into a physician's office. Dr Sidi suggested we talk about it because he cares about his patients. He was so dead on in his observations I am still in disbelief! I had an awful experience as a child, which I had gotten beyond in my adult life...until I had an issue with cancer 14 yrs ago. My whole adult life up to that point was completely under my control. I exercised, ate only good whole foods, etc. The cancer devastated me! I felt as if I had no control over my body and my health. I did everything right, but something still went wrong. To make matters worse, the cancer treatment was one mistake after another, leaving even more feelings of fear and having no control. Dr Sidi said something that no other doctor has ever said or acknowledged: I… was suffering from PTSD and the physician's office was the trigger or stressor. I am sure my colonoscopy will be fine. But, thank you Dr Sidi for validating me and recognizing and understanding my feelings. I felt good walking out of his office--AMAZING!!

Dr. Sidi has been my gastroenterologist for the past few years. I have a serious condition and he always had been on my side. He is honest and goes the distance to take care of his patients.
