Dr. Sylvia Maria Bolock, DO

I went with my 12 yr old for treatment. We had a difference in opinion and I was chastised by Sylvia Bolock in front of my son. Her contemptuous attitude scared my son and made a mockery of my parenting skills in front of him. Her derision towards me could've been handled more professionally but she considered me worthless and beneath her. I am a licensed professional myself with a Master's degree and tried to provide resources to explain my decisions as a parent to what medical procedures I deem appropriate for my son and she arrogantly shut me down without having any information as a basis except that she felt she had more authority over me. I take my families health very seriously the least she could've done is listened politely and then provided the data to support her decisions. She is not God and I guess you're not allowed to question her because we the patients are too stupid to read on our own. I refuse to go to a doctor who thinks the opinions of her patients are… beneath her consideration.

Dr. Bolock is excellent. She spends the time to find the right solution to problems. Not your typical 15 minutes and out. She is highly recommended.

Best doctor in the area. Not only fine at determining a patient's symptoms and treating them at the least cost but aware of community resources available.

Dr. Bolock always makes you feel like you're the only patient she has and spends necessary time answering all your questions.every time I leave her office so I feel confident With her diagnosis and recommendations.

I enjoy my visits with Dr. Bolock... she is excellent.... makes you feel comfortable and really gets to the bottom line of the problem...

Dr. Bolock is one of the most thorough and knowledgeable physicians I have had in my almost 70 years. The ease of appointment is a "3" simply due to frequent wait times of the phone; Geisinger needs more employees in the phone room at the Mt. Pocono location. Promptness means nothing to me if a doctor spends as much time with me as I need, and then wants to know if I have any further questions. Dr. Bolock treats all of her patients the same way; if she is running late, it is simply due to her attentiveness to each patient. This is quite a change in this day and age where it's all about seeing a patient every 15 minutes, regardless of how much time a patient actually needs. Dr. Bolock is consistently patient, compassionate, thorough, very kind and very friendly. My family and I are very pleased and blessed that we are Dr. Bolock's patients.
