Dr. Sylvie Der Khorenian, MD

I have been seeing Dr Khorenian for almost 20 years. She initially diagnosed a basel cell cancer and I have been seeing her ever since. She is one of the kindest and most attentive doctors I know. Her practice is general and cosmetics focussed but if you need a specialist plastic surgeon or other specialist she will refer you to the best and even follow up on youthe behalf. My experiences with her have always been positive. She is open and honest and cares about the patient and not just her wallet.

I have been going to Dr. Khorenian for over a year now due to a keloid formation on the nose. She has injected cortisone shots in the keloid once about every month or so and it is STILL here. I thought this process would be over by now but it's just taking to long for very mild change. I also asked for acne advice and she gave me acid pads ($55) and I broke out like NEVER BEFORE. I'm so upset. She seems nice but honestly I don't know why I keep going to her, nothing is coming out of it.

I had a small raised scar and had seen her first in her NY office where she had stated emphatically that it should not be removed in that it would leave a depression, something I definitely did not want. About one year later I went to her NJ office and inquired whether there was anything that could be done for it, and she took her instrument and did something which I thought was a new procedure, and it left a huge deep depression in my cheek. I am totally destroyed by this.In addition to this, she does not know how to inject properly juvederm as she put the needle horizontally into my cheek (in this same visit). It left a horizontal mark across my cheek exactly where the juvederm was injected, raised and lumpy and bruised this lasted for around 5 months until I finally went to another doctor to dissolve it although the line and holes where the injection(s) took place remain to this day one year later.In addition the juvederm obviously I had a reaction to it because it spread across… my entire face which became lumpy and depressed with holes in my face. I have become totally self conscious; I never had such terrible skin until I went to this doctor.In my opinion she should not even be practicing medicine.
