I will never go to this doctor again. Rude and judgmental.

I was a patient of Dr. Pearson for many years as an adolescent. I would STRONGLY recommend staying away from her. As a child, I did not realize the severity of how she practiced, however now that I am an adult, I still recall strong memories of how she pushed the limits of malpractice. I encountered a traumatic event at a young age and experienced depression for many years. After receiving cognitive therapy for many years, the therapist recommended that I see a psychiatrist to help aid in the treatment of my depression. Within 3 years of seeing Dr. Pearson, she prescribed me over 30 different medications to treat over 5 disorders that never existed to begin with! She diagnosed me with ADHD, Bipolar, Dissociative disorders, and even went as far to get me treated for schizophrenia. A child has no control over these things and it was wrong of her to tell my guardian that these things were what was needed. I was questioned at school by administration due to my "zombie-like"… appearance, and even got in trouble because I could not stand for the pledge after starting a medication for schizophrenia the night before. My doses were way too high, and at one point, I was taking 10 different medications and a total of 18 pills per day for "psychiatric" issues. Today, I am a straight A college student, who never encounters the signs of any of these false diagnosis. I have not taken medication for over 5 years for psychiatric issues, and as I learn more in the field of psychology, I know better than to believe for one second that Dr. Pearson had any good intentions towards me or any other patient. I pray that people do their research before choosing any doctor and that even if this review helps one person prevent becoming a victim of Dr. Pearson, then my time is well spent.
