Dr.Hopkins and her staff are great to work with.She is alway upbeat and sees the good in all even when it is bad news. Her place is a happy place in a sad situation. I will be with her and the staff till the end, I have found the best for me. Give her a try you will not regret it .

My mother was happy with receiving the chemo prescribed for her by the doctors at Barnes in St. Louis in Dr. Hopkins office. She was told she was in remission. But after numerous symptoms - constant head and neck pain, drastic weight loss, nausea, vomiting, inability to eat which progressed to ringing in the ears, hearing loss, unstable gait, weakness, personality changes she was told she was just stubborn. Family members tried desperately to see Dr. Hopkins and were only able to see her nurse practitioner. The week before her death I asked Dr. Hopkins if mom had brain cancer because she had all the symptoms of brain injury. She looked at me and told me that brain cancer would show up as tumors and be visible. We finally got the diagnosis of leptomeningeal carcinomatosis soon after the transfer to Barnes in St. Louis. They sent us home in the care of Hospice. Receiving the correct diagnosis sooner would not have lengthened my motherâ??s life, but it would have spared… her from being drug to doctor after doctor with incorrect diagnosis and treatment. It would have also allowed us to spend quality time with her. I hope that as a result of my motherâ??s death Dr. Hopkins has educated herself better about the diagnosis of Leptomeningeal Carcinomatosis. It occurs in 5% of all cancer patients and is most commonly spread from lung cancer

From the very beginning, Dr. Hopkins approaches her patients as if they've known each other for years, yet maintains her professionalism. She will shoot straight from the hip rather than beat around the bush about your disease. I would recommend her to anyone who is tired of the same old hum-drum story, and yearns for a fresh optimistic approach.
