Dr. Tamarah A Fratianni, DO

Made an appointment. Went to my appointment from Sedona to flagstaff and they forgot to put me in their system. Told me I didn’t have an appointment. And they didn’t care.

The Dr Fratianni is always wonderfully kind & informable. Although, I was recently sent to do allergy testing. The tech who does blood draws for allergy testing is the worst Ive ever had at blood draws. In shock of how horrible this woman was at drawing blood. Since Id taken phlebotomy course years ago, I of course still remember the importance of specific details in drawing blood. First your told to sit down in a normal chair, then handed a pillow to lay in your lap. This is to be your sturdy surface for your arm to be placed. Not the proper set up in any case. Then she proceeds w/steps to make the 1st draw, Started in at way to high of an angle into my vein. Of course, I knew this wasn't going to end well. As it did not go well, the feeling of someone ripping a syringe from your vein is not pleasant. Yep, she started pulling syringe out w/ blood going everywhere. Then trying the other vein on next arm, while physically popping the syringe out of my vein again. With much pain on my… end, squirting blood everywhere on to the pillow. NOW both arms in Excruciating pain! They need to find another tech to do these tests. Another idea would to send her to a school where hands on training is available. Felt like an absolute guinea pig!!! This is someone who truly does not understand the proper techniques of blood draws. If she went through any formal training, you would not ever know it. Everyone else is nice & courteous in this office. The doctor is a great Doctor, so do not hesitate seeing her. Just highly suggest to anyone doing allergy testing Do Not let the normal allergy tech for this do your blood draws. Unless you have lots of blood to waste in the process of the lab draws. :( :( :(

I did not have confidence in this doctor - I was seen by the doctor on my initial visit but thereafter saw her assistant. Appointments and referrals for subsequent testing are the slowest I think I have ever encountered. If you are in pain - as I was, for weeks, and need attention in a timely fashion this may not be the doctor for you. If you wish to see a doctor with a friendly manner, who gives you adequate time to answer all your questions, whose staff are pleasant, and who schedules any further testing in a normal time frame then I am sorry to say this is probably not the one.
