Dr. Tamela Powell Booker, MD

I’ve been a patient of Dr Booker for many years. I located her as a PPO for my FEHB plan. She is very thorough and knowledgeable. She gets an A+ for bedside manner. A+ for teaching, explains what’s going on in my body and what I can do to improve my overall health. I started seeing Dr Booker when I didn’t have many health complaints. I’ve gotten to the point where I’m having the same health issues of my parents and grandparents. Ive got to do better. With Dr Bookers care and persistence, I will be better!

This is the worst experience I have ever had with anyone in the medical profession. The office filed claims against my old insurance even after I kept explaining I had provided them with proof of new coverage. The claim got denied, of course, which they could not understand why although I explained numerous times to file under the correct insurance. They never listened and turned me over to collections. Dr. Booker also sent registered letter telling me she would not treat me any more because I didn't pay my bills. My husband had to drive down to the post office to receive this nasty letter that I didn't even deserve! I finally screamed at the accounting and collections people enough they resubmitted the claim and got paid! Now, because of this I am still dealing with collections from the radiologist due to Dr. Booker's incompetent staff. Have I gotten an apology for their mistake and harassment? No way because they know they did me wrong but aren't professional… enough to apologize. Do not go to Harpeth or Dr. Booker!
