Dr. Tammy Gail Smith, MD

the first time my daughter went in she found Tammy to be rather rude in personality but she respected the doctor, she thought maybe she had a bad day, the second time the following week she asked my daughter to make sure her newborn got more sun and my daughter did so every day, the doctor was annoyed also that the baby was not picking up in weight....note not worried or concerned but Annoyed as if this was on purpose. Her personality was rude yet my daughter respected what she asked of her without complaint. The next trip she told my daughter even though he WAS gaining weight her milk was defective with not enough fat in it ( hey now were judged for eating to healthy as we dont have much fats in our diet ) she told my daughter it was like her milk was 2% and not whole milk and the baby was not picking up weight to HER expectatiions....note the baby WAS gaining and most with common sense know that babys do not follow the exact patterns of others.. We went straight to the grocery… store to buy foods with good fats. My daughter though was getting frazzeled by the doctor and her disrespectful manner so she switched pediatricians with her provider and scheduled an appointment for the following week ....so she never MISSED any appointment literally. Tammy did not do her job to check if she changed doctors ( they ARE supposed to ) and when my daughter did not come in she called defacs on her..........Seriously? so now were wrong for cancelling an appointment....ONE appointment to which if the doctor looked she would have seen she was not avoiding the appointment but switched doctors and no wonder why. I BET ten to one Tammy would not have done that if my daughter were rich /well off and not on medicaid. There is a term for this....its called the doctor is an ADULT BULLY. Either one she didnt check what she should have and hastily called defacs even though there is no crime in cancelling an appointment and she was not LATE on it either or the doctor did check and got her ego bruised knowing she never was that smart of a doctor in the first place. Steer clear of her, she is not worthy of a doctors distinction. She is not old school, she just likes to have things her way and only her way and to JUDGE everyone she feels is below her. An adult Bully that never answered for her crimes of judging people she has no authority to do so with or affect their lives. I also note that no website shows her years of being a 'doctor' nor where she studied . She shold not be around children. This is the behaviour that perpetuates rasicm as its obvious she treats people with low income differently than the people that have good money. She is the perfect example of a person that is whats wrong with society. People getting to push their agenda on others and forcing it if need be and because she is a " doctor " she is allowed to ruin lives. Its obvious she should have never had certification for being a doctor and I would love to know where her credentials are.

Dr. Smith was rude, didn't spend a lot time with my son, we would tell her something and she would brush off everything we said. Awful. My son will be going to a new pediatrician.

Dr. Smith has been great with my daughter and me. She's attentive, patient, and kind with my daughter, and very thorough. She is willing to work with me in my questions and concerns to get at what will be effective and comfortable for us. Her approach matches our parenting style really well, and she's followed through with every expectation we set forth in our work together. The office staff have been great too!

I would definitely recommend her to anybody. She is friendly and cares deeply for her patients. She always explains everything before she does anything and if I call she is always quick to answer any questions I have. Her staff is also friendly and very organized with appointments and everything.

Excellent doctor.

Although the office was clean and charming to look at the staff and Dr.Smith were not. The only friendly person there was the lady who walks you back to the room and "friendly" is a generous adjective even for her. Dr. Smith spent approx. 5 minutes in the room with my son and I each of the 3 times we went there. She made no effort to be nice or make us feel comfortable. at his 2 month appointment when i told her i would rather split up some of his vaccinations than have them all done that day she pushed me out the door. She made no attempt to explain to me her opinion nor did she take one second to let me explain mine. I understand her position as a medical professional and she has a right to how she feels but as a mother so do I. she was EXTREMELY rude and made me feel as if my intention was to harm my son. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND HER TO ANYONE!
