Dr. Tania Beatriz Beltran-Papsdorf, MD

As the caregiver for my 86 year old father, who has dementia, I advocate for him at all medical appointments. This was our first meeting with Dr. Papsdorf, and I found her to be organized, thorough and intelligent. Her staff was friendly and kind. I found all of them to be patient and helpful. I was impressed with her intake process, and I thought her bedside manner was kind and friendly. Doctors have to manage their time, so she occasionally interrupts or talks over you, but I didn’t find it offensive, just keeping the process on target. I believe she may have discovered some things his previous neurologist missed. She was respectful and kind to my father.

She was very friendly, thorough, and knowledgeable in her field and made me finally see the light. She was persistent in running tests and not giving up on finding the disease diagnosis causing my health issues and neuropathy. She got me sent to a rheumatologist at KU to get me on a treatment plan just in time to stop the disease from causing more nerve damage and kidney disease than I had already gotten. I am so confident in her ability for anyone that needs their health improved. Very personable and has great bedside manner as well.

I recently had my initial visit with Dr Papsdorf and had a totally different experience than the patient who wrote the other review. She was kind, thorough, patient and extremely attentive. I have no negatives to report from the visit other than the waiting time to get labs done which has nothing to do with the doctor or the neurology support staff.

I saw her once. She may have been having a bad day, but she is one doctor who I hope I never have to see again. She rattles off questions and then does not give you time to answer them. She is very impatient. She did not like anything I had to say. She left the examination room in a "huff". I hope that she does not treat her other patients like she treated me. It would be best is she did not work with people. Perhaps she could read MRIs and stay away from patients. She would be a great interrogator of terrorists at Git-Mo. When the appointment was over, I felt abused and degraded.
