I have had three visits with Dr. Buffin after being referred to her for uterine fibroids. During my first visit, everything went well. She was very informative, explained my treatment options, and I decided to try one of the medications she recommended. Unfortunately, after taking it, I realized it was not the best option for me. At my follow-up appointment, I explained my concerns and why I felt the medication was not working for my situation. We discussed it briefly, and the visit was pleasant. However, my third appointment was a completely different experience. From the moment I explained why I was there, Dr. Buffin seemed to have an attitude. When I asked about another treatment option, she repeatedly told me it was not an option because I would "probably bleed to death" and that she "doesn't work 24/7" for someone to call her because I'm bleeding too much. She made this statement at least four times, which I found upsetting and unprofessional. She also told me that when I came in… during April and said I had stopped taking the medication, 30 days was not long enough to determine whether it worked and that I should have stayed on it for 90 days. However, during that April visit, she never mentioned that she believed 30 days was insufficient. Had that been explained to me at the time, I would have considered continuing the medication longer. I also explained that I had already required iron infusions because of my heavy bleeding and felt it was pointless to keep getting them without addressing the underlying issue. She responded by saying the infusions were not pointless. Since she felt I had not given the medication enough time, I agreed to try it again. Then she told me she was "not trying to make me feel like there was no hope" and suggested I get a second opinion, she stated "you're not going to hurt my feelings. She said it multiple times i wasn't going hurt her feelings.To add to my confusion, the prescription she called in was a completely different medication from the one she had previously prescribed. This experience left me feeling dismissed, unheard, and uncomfortable. I expected to have a respectful discussion about my concerns and treatment options, but instead I felt discouraged and unsupported. This was my first experience with a CHRISTUS physician, and unfortunately, based on this experience, it will likely be my last

I have been on several occasion's now and Dr. Buffin is excellent. I think she is proficient as well as focused on the health and wellbeing of women.

I absolutely enjoyed her. It had been many years since I went to an OBGYN. She’s very professional and is very charming. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Buffin was the perfect balance of friendly and professional, and she made me feel so comfortable at what usually before had been an extremely uncomfortable health evaluation. Her personality showed and she graciously answered all of my questions snd listened to all my concerns. I wish I had looked her up sooner.

Great Doctor that made me feel as though I was her only patient throughout my entire pregnancy and delivery. Also, she did a great job on my csection, recovery was fast with no issues and no pain.

She took care of me and made sure i was OK when I had baby

Dr. Buffin was the on call doctor when I was delivered my baby. (My midwife couldn’t be there, so she delivered my baby.) She was very unprofessional and came in at the last second. I had a tear that she sewed up, but she never looked at it again before I left the hospital. I ended up being in immense pain for the next two weeks that got worse, not better, to the point that I could not sit or sleep without it being excruciatingly painful. I went into the doctor’s office, and my midwife and doctor said I was sewed improperly and would need corrective surgery or else I would be in pain for who knows how long and it wouldn’t likely heal correctly. So I got the surgery and immediately felt much better. The surgeon said part of it was just left open and Dr. Buffin hadn’t even sewn the part farther back. Now the hospital is charging me for a surgery I wouldn’t have had to have had I had a doctor who had been able to properly sew my tear.

She is the best hands down

I would recommend anyone to dr. Buffin she's is a great dr.

Dr. Buffin is excellent! She really cared about what I had to say and offered me several options to solve my problems. I would recommend her to any of my friends and family.
