Dr. Tanuja Damani, MD

I cannot rate her clinical or social skills because she never arrived for the appointment after 2.25 hrs of waiting. The first time I asked about the delay I was told she had an emergency in the ER that morning. OK understandable. The second time I inquired I was told she's doing charting. Really??? Very poor initial impression. Past behavior is typically a strong predictor of future behavior, so I will not be returning to this provider.

I went to Dr Damani with a ventral hernia for a consult. I had the hernia for many years but it had suddenly started causing me discomfort every day and limiting my usual activities. I saw her at NYU and although I did have to wait a little while to see her I found her to be highly professional and immensely knowledgeable. With just a couple of prods she was able to tell me exactly what was going on and how she would address it As a professional in the fitness industry I would have no hesitation recommending her to anyone with a similar condition.

Dr. Damani and her team were fantastic. I had a bilateral inguinal hernia operation done. Dr. Damani and her team were great in all the phases of the process: initial consultation, operation and post operation!

I recently visited Dr. Damani's office. The receptionist, Jasmine, was so welcoming. It felt like we were old friends! The nurse practitioner Maria was as sweet and knowledgeable as can be. Dr. Damani herself was very warm and so thorough. She did every test necessary before deciding I needed surgery. The surgery went awesome and all my follow-ups did as well. I would highly recommend Dr. Damani to anyone and everyone!!

Dr Damani is an excellent surgeon, she is very thorough and explains things completly. Her bedside manor is wonderful and she will stay with you as long as you need never making you feel like she's in a rush. Her office staff is the kindest and most helpful people always going the extra mile

Dr Damani's staff is very courteous and efficient. However there is much to be desired as far as her follow up visits and calls. I wound up seeking another doctors care for infections and aftercare.

I have seen Dr. Damani several times over the past year and she is an excellent doctor with a very efficient staff. She takes the time to really understand the problem and explains things in a way that makes it easy to understand. I had a wonderful experience and was back on my feet in no time after the surgery. I can't say enough about Dr. Damani. I would receommend her to anybody, family member, friend, business associate.

I recently went to Dr. Damani for a general surgery procedure and I found her and her office staff extremely pleasant and helpful. In addition, I experienced minimal wait time and she spent a significant amount of time explaining the procedure and answered all of my questions regarding the surgery in order to ease my anxiety.
