Dr. Tanveer Ahmed Sheikh, MD

Dr. Sheikh is amazing! He is knowledgeable, compassionate, and thorough. Also, his staff is fantastic.

Dr Sheikh is a phenomenal physician that is thorough and caring ! We never feel rushed or that our questions aren’t taken seriously! He also has a great sense of humor !

Very thorough and compassionate

Brought my mother to see the dr for injections in her legs-first the assistant stood in the doorway starring at both of us asking who the patient was (not my mother’s first or second time there) asked me what I wanted to do/why I wanted to go in with my mother. Instead of explaining that I couldn’t be in the room DURING the procedure, she asked unnecessary questions with a straight, plain face (not at all like all other healthcare professionals I know who at least greet you with a smile) and basically very cold. My mother called for me and needed my help with reading a document they needed her to sign before the doctor could proceed. As I’m reading, Dr Sheikh starts rambling that this is the same thing as before, that it’s all the same information from “last time”. So I ask if he has given my mom these injections before and he said no, as I translate to my mom, he says that the “paperwork” is the same as it’s always been and then instead of helping by explaining what the document… entails, he carries on saying if she needs to sign it in order for him to give her the injections. I was holding the paperwork with both hands and close to my face (I didn’t have my reading glasses and held it closer so I could see) and his assistant pulls the paperwork out of my hands and places it on a click board on the table in front of me. I didn’t say one word and just looked at her in confusion as to why she took it out of my hands, why they were not explaining what was written on the document that they needed my mother to sign, why none of it was simply discussed so that she understood (and wouldn’t have asked me to go in there to read it for her in the first place) and then this doctor asks me what’s my problem and stated with both of his fists up that I wanted to fight. I was shocked but let him know that this is the first time my mom has ever done this and asked me to read it to her. He then got up from the stool with the wheels with such attitude that the stool went rolling to the other side of the room. He said “wow” and rushed out of the room. Nothing was explained to my mom of what to expect, what could go wrong, side effects etc. and because of their lack in both professionalism and care for their patient, I was needed to read and patiently explain everything to my mom. UNPROFESSIONAL AND EXTREMELY RUDE!!!! Not a caring doctor nor staff!!!

I was very nervous and felt that the doctor was very understanding. He took time to explain all the details of the valve surgery and guided me. My family and I can't thank him enough.

Dr. Sheikh is a very kind and polite. Only problem I had was after going to him and spoke to those who refered him to me: All were given leg ablations. Other cardiologists I talked to did not do them. But, he is very good at it. I will not be going back because his staff, with a few exceptions, is horribly rude. Especially at his Twin Lakes office. When I made comment that I sleep well(have insomnia) after leg ablation and mention this to a friend, she jokeingly, replied that she should try that(only due to not being able to sleep). I was asked by nurse if she wanted the drugs and I felt that she was referenceing me as well. Just 2 people who have a hard time sleeping. They also did not try to hide they did not care for me. I might love a doctor-but will not go back after staff treats me disrespectly.

Wonderful doctor, very thorough and great diagnostician. Besides being one of the best doctors I ever went to, he is a kind person and will spend time with you.

He has helped my father and mother for many years. Both have heart problems and need lot of attention. They visit many other doctors as well. Dr. Sheikh always takes time to go over their records and list of all their medication. I highly recommend him for his expertise.

Dr. Sheikh is a kind and gentle person. He explains everything in lay terms so that it is understandable to the average patient. I have extreme heart disease in my family history, so it is important to me to have the best cardilogy care. I believe I have found that in Dr Sheikh!

Wonderfully kind, thoughtful, caring. Never rushes you. Takes the time to explain clearly. Just a fabulous doctor.
