Dr. Tanya Sue Argo, MD

Was very angry because I coughed during a very short procedure. Told me it was “nasty”. Seemed to think I could have controlled my cough under anesthesia. Told me to go see my pcp. Did that immediately. Had a runny nose that apparently she couldn’t deal with. Will never trust her again with me or with any family member. Her whole job is to make sure the patient is safe during surgery. Biggest one is taking care of your airway. She can’t even identify and take care of a runny nose. Her incompetence could very well mean someone’s life. No thank you.

Dr. Argo was assigned to be my anesthesiologist for a colonoscopy. At the 11th hour she insisted that I had to have an EKG. I pushed the issue because I don't have health issues, and she said it was because of my advanced age. (I am 61.) No one I have spoken to - all older than me and several having health issues - needed an EKG for a colonoscopy. It might seem like a small issue, but it was an additional $500 with all of the fees. Padding her pocket?

I don’t care how much education and money doctors make, but to enter a patient’s space in PreOp with out introducing herself and her role in my healthcare is uncalled for. Never ever gave me her name and not one smile on her face. All my doctors work at Parker Adventist. I will refuse in the future if she is my anesthesiologist.

I was a hospital patient and Dr. Argo was the anesthesiologist responsible for placing and monitoring an epidural. She was rude, abrupt and treated me with disdain. She left me feeling traumatized.
