THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Tanya Colledge was very UNPROFESSIONAL, INCONSIDERATE, AND OVERALL A HORRIBLE PERSON. My son was scheduled for a 9AM evaluation with her (first time). We drove 40 minutes to her office, as we live in a rural area. We arrived at 8:30AM. She came to the waiting area at 8:50AM and said she would be with us in a minute. Minutes passed and we could literally hear her having a conversation about a concert she went to on Friday night and how it was unfair that others were allowed to record and have their phones out at said concert, but where she sat, she was not allowed. WE WERE ABLE TO LITERALLY HEAR HER ENTIRE CONVERSATION AS WE WAITED. At 9:10AM, my husband went to the front desk and asked how much longer it would be. Her unprofessional response, "I'm ready now but you can wait longer if you'd like." For someone who considers themselves a "Doctor/PsyD" this response was unprofessional, inconsiderate and extremely unnecessary. You would think with her "title" she… would know how to speak to people. My husband got upset and she told him to leave, then turned to me and continued to provoke me by saying, "Did you want to leave too?" I literally didn't even say anything and was willing to continue on with the appointment. But her provoking didn't stop there! We went to the back room and she continued making comments such as, "I don't know why he's so mad for." First of all, TANYA PROVOKED HIM! Secondly, I just wanted the appointment to continue but she was so stuck on being rude that I knew she would give a bias diagnosis/evaluation for my son based on her prejudice and unprofessional behavior. My husband felt the same way and came back to tell me to cancel the appointment because he didn't feel comfortable taking our son to her anymore. YET, SHE CONTINUED TO YELL AND SAY WE WERE TRESPASSING WHEN WE HAD THE APPOINTMENT SCHEDULED IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! Tanya needs to educate herself on what it is she went to "school" for and how to approach and speak to people. When we waited outside for the cops to show up, (yes they called the cops but so did we). As we waited, a Comcast employee came out of the building and must have heard everything that happened because he even approached us and said "I'm so sorry you guys had to go through all that. She was very unprofessional." When the cops arrived, she claimed her words were "Misused" when clearly, she had purposely provoked us. Then she claimed she did not hear my son screaming in the waiting area becoming impatient, yet we were able to hear her whole conversation??? The waiting area isn't a closed office! She could hear my son screaming and still ignored us waiting. THIS WAS A HORRIBLE FIRST AND LAST TIME EXPERIENCE FOR US. Bariatric Medicine, I suggest you hire someone who is more professional than Tanya. All she claimed was we were "trespassing" when we had every right to be there in the first place and she continued to be the instigator while pretending she didn't know why we were so mad??? DO BETTER TANYA!
