Dr. Das is the first doctor in my entire life who will spend at least two hours of his time listening to my intense, unmitigated complaints of chronic pain and depression without charging me more than the average office visit (insurance + $5 copay) -- it's almost as though he is entirely unconcerned with making any money and has no problem with me unloading all my problems on him so that I can feel better. And this makes me so happy! Why aren't there more doctors like this? I simply can't understand why more of them aren't willing to forego personal and professional happiness so that deserving patients like myself can feel elevated, more fulfilled and less guilty of the stigma of "narcotic dependence." Thank you, Dr. Das! I'm going to recommend you yo all the other women in my fibromyagia support group.
