Dr. Tara Jean Chute, MD

Dr Chute is on call during her appointment hours so no matter your emergency or need for medical attention, she will cancel with no notice, at any time when the hospital calls her in. She refuses to see the massive flaw in her schedule and shows no remorse for the inconvenience and absence of any reliability. I had a surgery where she convinced me to have a new IUD inserted and it immediately perforated my uterus. She gave me a surgical procedure and denied me access to pain care. I woke up screaming and hysterical in worse pain than I could have ever imagined. She never mentioned that there would be any pain at all. The post of nurses, of whom Cape Cod Hospital has refused to name, took turns shoving my in the chest so hard I fell back into my bed, holding my arms above my head for no reason I can possible think of and screaming in my face. They screamed “quiet down, that’s enough out of you, you’re not in pain.” I hyperventilated from ungodly pain and passed out. I then woke up and… they both came running back to scream at me and physically abuse me. This happened in from of other patients and nurses at least 5 times before I was drugged so severely, I don’t remember anything until the next morning, home in my own bed. I have had to seek psychological treatment for this violent attack by these severely mentally ill women. It turns out Dr. Chute scraped out the lining of my uterus and never thought to medicate me or warn me. She also failed to diagnose my obvious symptoms of Endometrioses, but anyone with a uterus would have needed pain killers after that surgery. I tried reporting this issue, but Cape Cod Hospital supports their choice to abuse its patient and told me I was a “difficult patient” which means they can harm people any way they see fit. Do not trust Dr. Chute OR Cape Cod Hospital because they will back their abusers. I still have nightmares from this horrible attack and medical malpractice.

Dr. Chute is fabulous. I've seen her for a couple years now, and she's the first OB/GYN I've been really impressed with.
