Dr. Tara Clare Patterson, MD

Dr. Patterson speaks to you a like an equal. She was never condescending, but was always encouraging. She is willing to spend extra time with you, if needed. She listened to me, and incorporated what I had to say into my treatment. She puts her patients needs first.I always felt that I could trust her. She was absolutely instrumental in my recovery.

She is a wonderful psychiatrist. I think any complaints I ever had were clinic related, and out of her hands.

I really don't mean to be soapboxing, but sure the caregivers might be open minded in the circle of LGBT issues that's great, but what about our own personal/spiritual paths in life? What about the root of problems we face as a species. The whole reason for visiting a psych was because it's supposedly mandatory that you see a psychologist if your are in transition from one gender to the next for HRT, surgery, to perhaps seek wisdom and enlightenment, but that's why I study shamanism. Tell her you're depressed and she prescribes poisonous medicines while ignoring the root cause of the problem.. now that's the first negative energy I got from her. I wish I would have learned what I know now back when I first started seeing Dr. Patterson. I should have known better the first time she started prescribing all of these mass produced drugs. The last visit there just showed her true colors when I brought about my philosophy on life, my spirituality and metaphysical practices she actually made… fun of it. I feel more like I should be her psych doctor. I would not recommend sorry
