Dr. Tasscia Milissa Williams-Souffrant, MD

I had an annual women’s exam with Dr. Williams Souffrant, and unfortunately, my experience was very uncomfortable and disappointing. While Dr. Souffrant appeared to listen to my concerns and seemed to care, I was not informed beforehand that a student/trainee would also be present during my examination. I believe patients should be clearly informed and given the opportunity to consent before having an additional person present during an intimate medical examination. I have had women’s health exams before, but this experience was significantly different from my previous experiences and was very painful and uncomfortable for me. I understand that examinations can sometimes be uncomfortable, but the level of pain I experienced was concerning and left me dissatisfied with the care I received. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this provider. I hope the office will do a better job communicating with patients about who will be present during examinations and ensuring that… patients feel informed, comfortable, and respected throughout their care.
