Dr. Tatnai Leonor Burnett, MD

I would recommend Dr. Burnett to anyone with endo! My journey to get diagnosed was absolutely horrible and took a very long time. But Dr. Burnett was the only doctor to believe me. The first thing he told me was that yes he would do surgery on me. Something that I had been wanting for so long. He is very knowledgeable and trustworthy. He explained things about endo that are often misunderstood and gave me facts. It made a significate difference. He took care of my endometriosis with precision and skill. My life since mu surgery has improved more than I even thought was possible while having this disease.

He says he's very skilled in excision removal for endometriosis however he's terrible at recognizing the symptoms. I fit all textbook symptoms, but I didn't have a tender physical exam so he was positive that I didn't have endo. I had to cry and beg to have lap surgery, and when I did sure enough I was right and he was wrong. The surgery experience was horrendous. They were instructed to keep me overnight and didn't. I live 3 hours away btw. I didn't go back for surgery until almost 5pm and they discharged me at 10pm that night to my hotel room. I couldn't pee on my own, and required catheter. They had me watch a film on self cathing and sent me a kit, mind you I had just had a horribly painful abdominal surgey with 2 ovarian cyst removals, 7 deep endo excisions, and adhesions removed. And hydrodistension of my bladder done too. Not one single phone call to check on me by him, or a nurse, or another physician. Horrible nightmare I wouldn't recommend him or Mayo to a single… person. EVER!!!! He even suggested trying Lupron before doing laporoscopy, which his mentor/excision trainer Dr. Sinervo says should never be done to try to diagnose endo.

Dr Burnett was very patient and kind when I had my surgery. He described the process and what I could anticipate afterwards. He checked on me several times after surgery and called me at home the next day. I felt at ease asking him questions and would highly recommend him to anyone needing a hysterectomy.

Dr. Burnett was a very attentive physician. He made me feel safe and comfortable during a difficult pregnancy.
