Dr. Tatyana Evgenievna Shaw, MD

I chose to see a dermatologist because aside from a wart on my hand, I had a scalp issue I suspected was psoriasis and a scarring, cystic rash on my thighs, and I needed help. After several wart-zapping sessions with Dr. Shaw, the wart finally went into remission. However, she hardly looked at my scalp or my legs and was quick to diagnose both issues as acne. I assured her, as someone intimately familiar with acne, that neither issue was acne. She told me to use various OTC acne treatments, which I did without success. Much later, I was treated for psoriasis by a general MD and have discovered that the leg rash, which grew substantially worse without an accurate diagnosis, is hidradenitis suppurativa (HS). I can only speak for my own experience, but I would warn my friends and family against this doctor. Go see someone who cares.

A very rushed, almost frantic new patient exam and less than 5 minutes of actual discussion. If she saw me 1 hour later Dr. Shaw would not recognize me because she barely had eye contact.
