Reconstructive and cosmetic surgeon Taylor Theunissen, MD, earned his degree from the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. He completed his residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Nebraska Medial Center in Omaha, and later completed a craniofacial plastic surgery fellowship at Stanford University Medical Center in Palo Alto, California.

I just want to say that I received excellent care from Dr. Theunissen and his staff. Dr. Theunissen is kind and sensitive. He and each of his staff met with me before surgery and after surgery gave me great home care instructions. I would choose Dr. Theunissen and his team again if I had too.

He is truly caring and compassionate. He accepted my case knowing the difficulty and problems involved. He is a Godsend during this difficult time. He and his amazing staff go to great lengths to make you comfortable and answer all your questions and/or concerns. They dedicate the necessary time so that you never feel rushed during your visits. I highly recommend Dr. Theunissen if you're looking for the best care, great staff and top physician. We are blessed to have him in our area.

He removed a cyst from my 2 year olds eyelid and he was absolutely wonderful. His eye was healed in 3 days time and after six months there was no trace of the surgery. He and the whole staff at Our Lady of the Lake were so very sweet and caring wih my child.

He repaired the right eyelid of our 5yr old after a yard injurey. He was wounderful. He contenues to check up on her. He was a blessing to our family along with the entire staff of Our Lady of Lakes Hosp. We are blown away by his beside manner and his copation with and for our child. I will recamend him to anyone and know that he will give his best every time. We need more drs like him.
