Dr. Ted Marcus Barnett, MD

Dr. Barnett did my right hip replacement. He gave me back quality of life. He was patient and answered all my questions. I found his staff very professional. The entire experience with Dr. Barnett was excellent. I would recommend him to my family and friends.

Dr. Barnet did a double knee replacement on me. 1.5 weeks later, I was walking on my own! I stopped taking pain pills 3 days after surgery. I still have most of my prescription. Today was my 5 month post op visit. I am going to the gym 3x/week. I can do the elliptical and the rowing machine. Thank you Dr. Barnett for making my surgery/recovery as painless as possible. You gave me my life back!

Dr. Barnett is the only surgeon I would consider for a knee replacement. He came highly recommended. I had my left knee replaced and was told to “slow down” as I tested my knee a couple hours after the surgery. He has a great staff. Their goal is to get you to have good mobility and strength and be as pain free as possible.

Today was my two week visit after surgery and my staples were removed. It was a good day. Dr Barnett was very reassuring and totally happy with my progress. Having knee surgery is not for the faint of heart but if you choose the right doctor and put in the work you can get your life back. I have a long way to go and yes the exercise is uncomfortable. Ok in full disclosure, hurts like he_ _ occasionally but each day it’s less and my range of motion improves. The leg wedge and ice water circulation wrap are invaluable to help with pain control however the real factor of how well you do is Dr Barnetts expertise in sculpting the right parts for you to work with and your level of determination to put in the work to reach the goals you desire. I am so happy with Dr Barnett and his support staff.

I arrived before my appointment time. Dr Barnett seen me early. He spent time for all questions I had. Very friendly. Great experience.

Today was my initial visit with Dr. Barnett and I was thoroughly impressed. I'm really looking forward to getting a hip replacement from him in October and I will do a further review at that point but I'm very happy with every part of the patient experience so far. The office staff and everyone at Asheville Hand and Sports Medicine is top-notch. I'm very lucky to be in their care.

This will be my second knee replacement (different knee) with Dr. Barnett. I trust that the outcome of this surgery will be as successful as last time. Dr. Barnett is a great communicator and inspires confidence in his ability as a surgeon. He was patient and encouraging with my questions.
