You need to run and not walk as far away from this poor example for a physician as soon as possible. Horrible interaction and mannerisms.

You may want to reconsider seeing this physician. Pretty substandard.

Extremely condicending and disrespectful. Short fuse and poor communicator without concern for your welfare whatsoever. Acts as if he hates his job. Makes you feel you are a huge bother.

I have been Dr. Nifong's patient for years and have no plans to change doctors as long as he is practicing. I actually take offense to the "womanizer" review. He hugged me when my mother died. I hugged him when my brother died. These were hugs of care and empathy, certainly nothing more. He is a wise, gentle and caring man, and I would highly recommend him.

I have been going to Dr. Nifong for a long time for things like pneumonia, etc. I recently contacted shingles and went to Julie - she gave me Gabapentin & Hydrocon/acetaminophen for the pain. It actually made the pain worse if thats possible - I later found out the hydrocon is in the codeine family and I have told them at least 20 times I am allergic to codeine. She then offered Lyrica which is about $400 - I do not have that kind of money since I already wasted a lot of money on the hydrocon. I texted Dr. Nifong at about 10:00 at night in a great deal of pain and he said to call the next day. He was not in the following day so the receptionist said she would send a message to Julie. I waited about 4 hours and had not heard back so I called and Julie had left a message that she would refer me to a pain clinic, or I could get a patch that was very expensive, knowing I did not have the money. This whole thing was handled unprofessionally with people not calling me back, prescribing… things that could have an adverse affect and in general not really caring. I would NOT recommend them and will tell anyone that will listen not to bother going there. If you have a cold, maybe, but if its serious, or painful, forget it.

Dr. Nifong shows the real meaning of "family doctor". He spends time with his patients, is easy going and actually listens to his patients. The only reason there is any kind of wait is because he does take his time with each patient and doesn't rush them out the door. When going in for an appointment I feel at ease because he is very confident and experienced.

Takes time with his patients,very polite ,the best Family Dr we have ever had.
