Dr. Temperance Louise Johnson, PhD

Although I had been very fortunate to build a successful career, I was experiencing increasingly difficult challenges due to past trauma and severe work induced stress combined with my own inherent autistic traits. Four years ago, I sought help from Dr. Temperance Johnson and she was very meticulous in confirming my diagnosis on the Autism Spectrum. In subsequent visits, Dr. Johnson has provided me with many tools and coping mechanisms that have made my life better every day. Through her guidance I have established healthier routines, yielding better outcomes and she has provided me with EMDR therapy to help me get beyond particularly traumatic events in my life. I continue to see Dr. Johnson at WellMind, because every session, she empowers me with new tools to improve my response to the challenges of life on the spectrum and each time, she provides new perspectives and insight which have helped me grow as a person, living more comfortably in my skin. Dr. Johnson has also provided… help in dealing effectively with tragedy in our El Paso community and the COVID 19 virus.
