I was fading fast from blood loss no one could find. She never gave up in trying to figure out what was happening to me. She figured it out - something no other doctor made an effort to do. A hysterectomy later and I am good as new. She is honest and sometimes blunt when she is trying to get hard headed people like me to understand. I like that. Not everyone does. But she does not prescribe a bunch of drugs to cover up symptoms and I like that too. If you are looking for a drug doctor you best just move on - She don't play that game.

This is my second time having an exam done with Dr. McHenry and was utterly shocked. She was extremely rude to me in expressing her personal- not medical- opinions and was unwilling to listen to medical issues that run in my family being a possibility for me. I got on this site to see if anyone else has had a similar experience with her for this next part.. Aside from total dismissal of concern for personal health issues, she was very, very rough in giving me my exam. She kept telling me to relax like jamming a tool into my body rather than inserting it was my fault, then would not physically stop pushing until I could not stop myself from yelping in pain. I was really surprised not to see negative reviews for her, but I suppose this kind of experience is rather embarrassing to share. I will not be returning.

Dr McHenry was a great find. Answered my questions and spoke to me on lay mans terms. Gave me copies of tests . I'll be back next year!

Dr. McHenry has been my Gyn for 20+ years. Before she discontinued Obstetrics, she delivered my last baby. I required an emergency C/S for severe fetal distress. Had she not been there (which she needn't have been as I was in very early labor) the outcome could have been devastating. Although my baby spent time in NICU, she recovered & has been 'perfect' all of her 19 yrs. As a Gyn, Dr. McHenry is competent, caring, thorough, & knows when treatment should be aggressive vs conservative. She provides care for my older daughter as well, & saw her through diagnosis, treatment, & follow up during a difficult time w compassion & patience. Would not hesitate to refer anyone to her care.
