Dr. Terri F Christiansen, PhD

Terrible experience. In my opinion she is unfair and caters to the mother and acts on hearing only one side. Do not waste your money! Never thought I’d say the courts are fair but they were great and actually listen to both sides and her statement meant nothing. Listened to the kids who have learned from their mother to manipulate and lie to make sure what they do and say is okay. I’ve seen no progress with the kids, if anything see them acting out even more. She comes off very liberal and everyone has to cater to the ones who cry the most instead of fixing the ones with the problems. Terrible waste of money. STAY FAR AWAY!

Dr. Christiansen helped our family through a difficult situation and was a lifesaver. I would highly recommend her.

Avoid

Christiansen has been sharing an office and practice with Rob Puls for at least twenty years, sharing cases between them in something of a good cop/bad cop dynamic. Professional standards are compromised; both might be present when you've been scheduled to see only one. Stated agendas for sessions are deceptive. Both are overready to involve DCFS. Our family had to heavily involve our child's pediatrician and others of his caregivers to correct the narrative and free us from their entrapment. For all their years in practice they do not truly collaborate with families. Earnest gazes and talk about "team effort" mask their ability to fully understand and support their clients. If don't want to have your family's challenges multiplied, avoid this pair.

So glad I found Dr. Christiansen. She is a fantastic psychologist.
