Dr. Terry Edwards, PhD

Long term patient.

First of all, you walk in the office and it's the size of a closet. No windows. No receptionist. No window for the receptionist. 3 chairs sitting in a hot small room. There is a sign on the door that says, "Please wait" along with huge cowbells that go off when you walk in! Dr. Edwards is a joke. She is very flighty, makes highly inappropriate comments, she made us uncomfortable. I'm not going to go into a lot of detail but we discussed how depressed my daughter was and she just starting making stupid remarks. When I mentioned a support group I thought might help my daughter she said, "That sounds like a good idea, just keep in mind those meetings are full of psychos" I said considering she's in the mental field that psycho comment was inappropriate. Then she starts talking about how a member of the group made a bomb threat. It just went for a really long time. When we got done she said would you like an appt? (Wasn't sure yet if my child had the impression I did) dr Ewards crawled… under the desk looking for some card..she said lets see you back in 2 weeks. Ummm...when? Whenever I asked what time she said, I think we will just feel it out. Whatever that means!

I had a 2;30 appointment with Dr. Edwards. When I arrived at her office, there was no one there to greet you. The door was open, but Dr. Edwards wasn't in her office. There was no one in the waiting room. After waiting around approx. 45 min. I gave up and decided to call her later to reschedule. She didn't return my call for several days - by that time, I decided to look for another therapist. She billed my insurance for the appointment she had missed with me. When I tried to call her regarding the billing issue, she would not return my calls (3 in all).

I truly do NOT understand all of these positive reviews. Horrible! My son was making leaps forward. Seeing this woman ONCE has sent him spiraling down, almost suicidal. Thanks, lady.

This has to be one of the weirdest appts EVER! The waiting room is super small and hot. There are no windows, no receptionist. Just a sign that says be seated. She was making highly inappropriate comments and was giggling and sniffing. Quite frankly, she looked and acted high. She talked about other clients and described people as being "mental"!

I needed to establish care with a therapist here in Nashville after living else where for a number of years. I called and left a message @ 4:00 pm Fri ...
